Just googled the word, that is something we do it in Albania too.

i understand how maestro becomes stromae but i can't figure out how they make Mere (mother) into reum, Pere (father) into reup, Flic (cop) into keuf etc

I can't help sorry, I don't speak any French. We in Albania do that like maestro -> stromae for nearly every word.

Somehow I can't figure out what it means. Care to explain?

It works like this for example

Correct form - Unë quhem Almir ('My name is Almir' is the translation in English btw)

Argot/Verlan form - Nëu mequh Rimla

Only the syllables are inverted.

haha well i don't speak Albanian (as you probably can tell ) but what i tried to invert was Emri im është

Ah, I got it, you spelled wrong only the word 'është'. It's spelled shtëë.

We invert everything!

ah dammit haha i wasn't sure about the double ë being together in relation to the other letters. its something we don't have in English but i kind of wish we did, a secret code, we have slang words but they're easily worked out.

Although I think it would be very difficult in English as in our language words are spelled as they are written, sometimes we just add an 'ë' if there are two consonants that don't go together.
