Group-D - WC 2014
I don't understand Uruguay's (not necessarily the whole nation) defence of Suarez. There's clear evidence of what he's done and this is the third time he's been caught, so why are they fighting so desperately for him despite clearly being found guilty is beyond me. It's crazy that for football these people are giving up morals.

I guess it's the nation's characteristic and I'm not saying this as a critique. The same with Italian teams taking their feet off the gas after leading like 3-0 is normal in Italy (doing otherwise is considered rude. Remember the Inter fan who ran into the field saying "Basta!" to Billy because we kept on attacking even after 4-0?), or how players who huff and puff often get the cheer in EPL. Anyway, this article gives good insight about how football in general is viewed in Uruguay.

A seven year old boy was at the centre of a courtroom drama yesterday when he challenged a court ruling over who should have custody of him. The boy has a history of being beaten by his parents and the judge initially awarded custody to his aunt, in keeping with the child custody law and regulations requiring that family unity be maintained to the degree possible. The boy surprised the court when he proclaimed that his aunt beat him more than his parents and he adamantly refused to live with her. When the judge suggested that he live with his grandparents, the boy cried out that they also beat him. After considering the remainder of the immediate family and learning that domestic violence was apparently a way of life among them, the judge took the unprecedented step of allowing the boy to propose who should have custody of him. After two recesses to check legal references and confer with child welfare officials, the judge granted temporary custody to the England Football team, whom the boy firmly believes are not capable of beating anyone.

What did Insigne do to not not be in the red?

I'd also say why isn't Darmian in the green and why was an unfit De Sciglio in the red. I'd also move Marchisio to yellow and probably change a few others.

Interesting that all the Juve players got passes. IMO out of all the Juve players, only Buffon and maybe Pirlo deserve to be green. The rest are all yellow at best. It was Marchisio's dumb red card that led to Italy being eliminated anyway..
