I used to be a huge fan of Azzuri, for probably 20 year. That prick Pirlo ruined it for me. Sad

I don't think I hate them though, so I will pick Uruguay and Italy. Anything to keep England out. Icon_lol2

Suarez and Cavani better be amazing otherwise Uruguay have little chance.

Any team but England. What a joy in cursing them Big Grin

I don't hate England. I just feel sorry for them. Just like Inter Milan. Oh wait, I both hate and feel sorry for Inter Milan. :d

The only few English players I like are Alan Shearer and Gary Lineker. The only tournament that I actually didn't mind England was EURO1996, when they were the host and actually played some nice games.

I supported England in Euro'96 (first international tournament I watched, also I think that was the first time I watched football). Actually England, Italy, and Uruguay are three of national teams I always have soft spots for... so predicting this group is so hard for me.

But England and Italy will survive, I think.

I think there most important player for Uruguay has always been their captain Diego Lugano. He was immense in world cup 2010 and (sadly) Coppa America 2011 Dodgy he might do a Cannavaro 2006 this time with the likes of Suarez and Cavani providing the immunation.

BTW, any chance of Diego Forlan to be picked in the WC squad? I am sure he could be a useful sub event at the age of 35 or whatever Sagrin

Shearer I can understand. The guy was a machine gun and I liked him too Sagrin
But Lineker? Wth Its more to do with your hate for Argentina and Maradona, than love for Lineker Sagrin

What formation Italy will play by the way? 3-5-2 work fine in Euro 2012. I would like to see atleast one big name team playing differently than others, like 3 men defence with wing backs.

by the way, apart from Germany and Spain, on paper I can't recall a better group of midfielders than Italy. Pirlo, De Rossi, Monto, Marchisio in a really difficult midfield to beat, unless Pirlo decides to sleep.
