If Niang stayed, I somehow think Honda would start ahead of him most of the times anyway. Playing regularly can only help him and us. His finishing leaves a lot to be desired so it's good to know that he's getting more clinical.

In hindsight it's easy to say Niang will suit Seedorf's scheme now that he's doing well in France but I think most people forgot how he has regressed the last few months. Surely playing the last five minutes or so every other game didn't help him, but I think he lost that confidence bordering on arrogance he showed in the past where he loved to take on the defender. That's what made him so effective as a sub in his debut season.

As for next season, let's worry about that later. Who knows what will happen? Maybe Balo will leave, or Kaka, or Binho. Personally I think Honda is best deployed right behind the striker. Niang can then play on the right with Stephan on the left. As things stand now there's just no room for him so being loaned out is the best option for both parties.

Well, even if there is a buy out clause, don't worry, Niang thinks he's so good that he won't stay in Montpellier (it's not like Gourcuff, the shy guy, who became a star in Bordeaux and won Ligue 1 that year) ... And he already said he will come back in Milan in June.
