One of my mates (Interista) just told me the best joke ever: Nani is better than Robinho!

When Robinho has played Support Striker in a 4-3-1-2, we are 12 wins, 1 loss, 1 draw. We've lost when he hasn't played or when we've gone 3 attackers w/ him in hole (unnatural). These 12 wins are being partnered with Ibra, Pato or Cassano.
In those 14 games we've scored 25, conceded 5.
Of course we've had good games where we've played 3 forwards and him in hole (like both napoli games. But we've also been defensively vunerable, like v. Jube or Udinese
Strong case he's been our most valuable attacker. His movement and runs create A LOT of lanes. Such an intelligent player off the ball.
Forza Robi
How about the number of shoot towards goal he had, how many on goal and how many great chances he missed. He is good in many things but extremely bad at finishing.

To me this is what we've needed for years. People want to say pirlo and seedorf have declined. And physically definitely true, but they can still pass and still have the vision. but when no one moves, where are they suppose to pasS? Look at scholes with man utd, still highly productive in his role, because that team moves all match.
Robinho + Boateng's movement have reborn pirlo and seedorf.
It's not surprising since basically when sheva left they struggled w/ consistency and it was even worse when Kaka left.
Agree with Pirlo's part but not Seedorf. Seedorf has been mostly horrible due to his age. Vision is useless if he just walks on the pitch, let opponent attack Milan without giving a hand for his team mates. In the recent games, Seedorf's play has been much better than for around 2-3 years. He runs and does what the task he had, not only depend on his vision and experience.

Why is that the best joke ever? Is Nani is that bad? Robinho has been doing well in Milan (Serie A) but still from from being great or at least not significantly better from Nani.

Robinho- 86 shots, 12 goals
Zlatan- 114 shots, 11 goals (3 pks
Robinho's a better finisher
Obviously that doesn't tell whole story but Zlatan can't create same chances Robinho can and visa versa. His misses are all runs only he can make cause of his speed, dribbling and ball control. Just like Zlatan's r created cause of his strength. Zlatan's missed his fair share of sitters

Well you notice, Seedorf's form picked up when he was moved to same position as pirlo.
He struggled as trequartista because of what you said, he's physically not capable. But slightly deeper behind boateng, letting Boateng take all the beating from the DM, gives him space and ability to push forward unmarked and make the pass.
I mean we play the 4-3-1-2 w/ boateng behind robi... but if you watch it, robi is often left, boateng drifts to right taking DM out with him, and it gives seedorf space to cheat up into center and playmake.
Kind of ingenious from allegri.

I do think that he just played with enormous energy in recent games whether he played as left-central midfielder or play-maker behind strikers not like his previous games where he looked so lazy. It's however true that Boateng did help him at defending duties, something he did very bad in the last years but Seedrof himself did many trackbacks he never or very little (or very late) did before.

Nani isn't a bad player in terms of technical ability, but Robinho, apart from being a great dribbler and being really technical player, offers much more to the team than Nani tbf.
This was Robinho's first year at Milan and he adapted really quickly in one of the most difficult Leagues in the world, certainly the most difficult in tactical terms. This is a great plus on Robinho's side.
Robinho is also versatile, he can play on both wings, trequartista, forward, you name it. Nani can only play on the wing.
I don't know, to me Nani is just a Cristiano Ronaldo wannabe.

Robinho is not great dribbler IMO. Nani is better in this part. Technical ability is also not so different between both players. What Robinho can offer more are like has been said that he can play in other position but with note that he is just not that good in playing in other position like player behind two strikers. He can play there but he is not that good in that position.
Nani is a Cristiano Ronaldo is OK. But we have to accept that Robinho either is not a CR7 level. So if someone said Nani is better than Robinho is not so a dream statement since none of them has significant advantage than the other.
"When Costacurta and Maldini won they didn't celebrate much. They were thinking about winning the next game" - Alessandro Nesta
For me Robinho's a better player than Nani for one key reason, which is the way he moves. While both are good at taking on opponents with their technique and pace (Robinho is better technically, Nani has a better physique), what sets Robinho apart is not just his versatility, but also where he moves. While Nani primarily stays out wide and maybe cuts in during matches, Robinho far more extensively finds gaps in opposing teams. He will constantly play between the lines and channels and make life difficult for the opposing team.
This movement is why we see him getting so many chances during matches and it's this movement that stretches opponents, meaning other players will get more space. While I say it's really this attribute that sets Robinho apart from Nani, this is also a very important aspect of the game, which can mean the difference between a very good player and a great player.
Yes, his movement is really great but only cos of his finishing he is now not yet great player. You can have 100000 clear chances but useless if you can't score. This is the problem Robinho has. He is good-great at many aspects but extremely bad at finishing. This type of player is not suitable for Champions League where 1 (clear) chance could be crucial.

He's not a typical striker, more of a supportive striker and a trequartista. I'd rather have half of Robinho than Nani to be honest. A player who creates chances for himself and/or others is a better player than some player who can dribble but doesn't do anything else for the team.
Nobody was comparing Robinho and Nani to CR7. I just said that Nani is just a CR wannabe, but has failed to be at CR level, just doesn't have the same mentality. Fergie is playing a 35 years old(?) Giggs ahead of Nani in the Champions League.
