Ibrahimovic and Thiago Silva could certainly coexist, yet both left.

Robinho and Cassano both are a little lightweight, with a strong CF like Ibrahimovic, there could be difficulty breaking down defense.

Also, maybe Dev tried to say that both could be leaving but Galliani is trying to hold on to at least one? This star exodus is getting a bit concerning now.

Bear in mind I only gave my personal opinion and wasn't something I necessarily think the club have decided on. As for why I think that, it's to do with how balanced our attack is. It's fair to say that under Allegri we've generally played with one leading forward (Ibra until now) and someone in support of him.

Currently, for the second role, we already have Cassano, Robinho and El Shaarawy. However, Pato when fit has always also started in the role and if rumours are to be believed, then we're looking for a new leading forward, meaning Pato will remain in support of whoever comes in. This means we have Pato, Cassano, Robinho and El Shaarawy for 1 role, which imo is one too many (2 actually, but El Shaarawy's still young and therefore can be considered a developing youth).

Personally, I think we need a balance of 3 supporting forwards, which I identify as being Pato, Robinho/Cassano and El Shaarawy and 2 new leading forwards. Theoretically, Pato can be one of the 2 leading forwards, meaning both Cassano and Robinho can stay, but I don't think we'd get the best out of him here and we'd be more dependant on him which is a risk given his issues of recent years.

Xudong, you're also right in that on the flip side, I don't think we'll see both Cassano and Binho leaving, it would be too massive a change in addition to what's already happened.
