I haven't played a PES since maybe..2009 or so but I moved over to FIFA because that's what most of my friends played and that's where the competition is. I have also fallen in love a bit with Ultimate Team so I'm prolly not moving back over to PES. What did you prefer about it though? I apologize if you already addressed that somewhere else

Nah I choose to defer, as PES have lost it since 2011 I believe, then FIFA over took them on 2012... I gave PES 2015 a try, felt like an arcade and controls were pretty bad.
people tend to discuss the license issues with Konami, but I believe EA(even though I hate them) are way more advanced than Konami especially on the football scene.. FIFA 15 offers much more, though little, changes to their title... additions which are more than welcome for football junkies like us ![]() as for Advanced Warfare, eventhough I'm a fan of the series, but all the hype around it was too much... it simply offered nothing new to the gameplay besides the "jump suits" which is nothing to what was "promised"! and for the Compute Stick, again, I believe it would make much more sense to aim at the business market rather than the average consumers. I believe Intel are pretty smart, they are going through a rough patch considering PC sales, as PC's as a whole have hit a "wall" for developement... meaning not many users are upgrading their PC's anymore. so they came up with this beautiful game changer... nonetheless, I'd find it pretty useful for my work in the future ![]() PS: call me Basel, sounds better

I apologize if you already addressed that somewhere else I'm similar, I think it was FIFA 09 where I jumped and since then I've been pretty critical of PES, which I thought had not only gone stale, but actually downhill. I have mentioned this in the FIFA thread too, but I don't mind going over my opinion on the games. About the new ones, I think PES just feels better in gameplay. The controls are the most responsive and the least "floaty" of any football game I've played in a long time. The movement of the players and general tactical game feels better than FIFA imo. Also, what's impressed me most is how realistic some of the AI felt in the game. The example I gave in the other thread was that I never felt a football game was able to replicate the qualities of Pirlo in a game until I played PES 15. Now, his movement on the pitch and ability on the ball feels much closer to the real player than any game I've played. On FIFA, I felt the controls didn't feel as precise and the game felt kind of clunky in comparison. I have been and continue to be frustrated at those moments where it just feels like the game cheats you out of goals, as the defence just suddenly opens up and the opponent (computer), runs through to score. As a simulation, I think PES is a better representation of the sport, which is a change from my opinion over the past 5 years or so. However, there are elements, like presentation and depth of options that PES still falls well short of FIFA. As you'll see from Basel's post though, it comes down to opinion and personal taste. I think it's a matter of opinion, although we'll have to agree to disagree on which we think has better gampeplay. I think part of what we prefer can depend on what we're also used to, that familiarity and consistency plays a role. For example, for years I played FIFA and couldn't feel comfortable playing PES. Part of what has probably added to my perception of PES 15 is I got PES 14 free through Playstation Plus and didn't buy FIFA last year (note, I still thought FIFA was better a year ago). On Advanced Warfare, I think part of the reason I liked it is I just didn't follow the news on it before it came out. I rarely if ever have interest in COD news, I might check out reviews, but otherwise it's just something I have no information on before going in. Even the jump suits meant little to me, as I'd heard they were in the game before it came out and that's literally it. I liked the campaign mostly because I thought it had some nice variety in terms of the various vehicles you use through the game. I agree on the Stick being used for businesses, which I mentioned in my original post on the topic. However, I do think over the next few years, it could become more commonplace in households, in place of current technology like Chromecast. That is assuming it's a more competitive price by then.

Thought this might be of interest to those following Final Fantasy Type 0 and Final Fantasy XV:

I've seen that before somewhere, but can't remember where
![]() Stitch, I don't play DOTA 2 myself, though I'd be surprised if no one else here does. Sticking to gaming, I started Persona 4 Golden the other day and am loving it so far. It's a pretty unique game, a JRPG that's both bizarre yet relaxing too (thus far). I'm only 3 hours in, so barely scratched the surface so far.

I don't play DOTA but I remember throughout my undergrad years there would be rows of kids in the computer lab playing that game.. When I'm just trying to print some notes
