I guess it's the nation's characteristic and I'm not saying this as a critique. The same with Italian teams taking their feet off the gas after leading like 3-0 is normal in Italy (doing otherwise is considered rude. Remember the Inter fan who ran into the field saying "Basta!" to Billy because we kept on attacking even after 4-0?), or how players who huff and puff often get the cheer in EPL.
