I think this guy deserves a mention and I think he's quickly putting us in a difficult but positive spot. His performances have been excellent under Gattuso.
At the same time he's shown he's a rb, not a lb where he's not even close to as good. Simply put, this leads to the question of what happens when Conti is back to full fitness, because I don't see him as the automatic choice over Calabria anymore.
On top of that, we need to keep an eye on Bellanova in the primavera. Another kid with a possible bright future that plays rb.
Excellent game yesterday. The assist, the penalty he created, and the shot that was saved by Viviano. I was a little worried yesterday after his hand ball, because I just didn't know if he would get hit by a brain fart. Of course, it turned out that he was just excellent yesterday. In the long run, if he can work on his inconsistency, then we will be looking at a great prospect at RB.
I tend to agree with you as well on the LB/RB issue. Too bad we don't have someone stand out at LB position. Rodriguez ended the game well, but his first half wasn't good at all. There was the bad penalty, and he had committed several easy passing mistakes early on, on both ends.
I think give RR time and he'll come good.
Rumour is he is being offered an extension, what do you think and how much should he get?
He is currently earning 2 million and his contract expires June 30, 2022

As I've said before, base salaries shouldn't be sky high. I think he should stay the same (or about). Give these guys incentives (performance related bonuses...both team goals and individual ones) to earn more.
I don't think he should be extended at this time. He didn't earned it.

The problem is...whether we like it or not, agree with it or not...it's a problem when players enter in their last year if contract. And that's exactly the sitiation Calabria will be in next summer.
On the business side of things....we have to look at players as assets. They ARE assets for a football club. So losing them for free is never ever a good thing.
On the other hand, overpaying them is never ever a good thing either. Because if they don't perform, they become dead weight and you can't even sell them. So, sensible salaries are the key. Calabria at 2mil is a decent, sensible amount. Maybe slightly overpaid based on his career with us as he's had many ups and downs. But he's finally pulling his weight. So if we can extend him at 2mil, then the risk is very low. We make sure he doesn't enter the last year of contract and therefore no risk at losing him for free. At the same time, if he doesn't pull his weight, selling him won't be overly difficult at that salary in a year or 2 from now.
I doubt he will extend for same amount of salary. If he does ,than I don't mind, but would not give him a cent over it, cause ,in my opinion ,he's already overpaid.
At the end ,I don't see him having fututre here (not serious one at least). Or it's better to say that I dont see Milan having future with him... We need players on his position who're good in both attack and defense. We must not settle for anything less. He's not one of those and most likely never will be.
Maybe it's best to sell him now.

So far Calabria take away the 49 balls in Seria A, the most In Seria A, second one is Mario Rog with 35, then Locateli and Kucka with 30 balls. For me he is the biggest surprise this season I hope he will continue with good games.
