Figured that I would open his official thread with a bit of good news - he has been called up to the U21 team! The work he has been putting in has been noticed and he will be in the squad for the next two European Qualifiers.
Congrats!

I was hoping that we would have held on to Mastalli. He is only on a dry loan, I believe?

yeah, it's a dry loan, which honestly I think was the right idea, he'd be wasted in the squad right now (a bit like Jose Mauri's situation)

I haven't found a post for this golden boy.
While he is getting more and more attention from Montella, I think, it is time to open a thread for him. I really like where it is going with Calabria. With such a young age playing this good. I do believe, that his crosses are always on point. I love how he is friends with Gigio for a long time now. If Donnarumma should stay, it will be prescious to see Calabria in defense along with DES and Donnarumma. Chemistry on point.

I'm very pleased to see Calabria's growth this season, he looks more composed and prepared for this level now. That said, he can improve, particularly defensively as he does get caught out and is often chasing back to recover against wingers.
I think he's the best crosser of the ball out of all of our fullback, I totally agree with you on his crossing. There is a thread for him, so if a mod can merge this that would be great thanks. http://www.milanmania.com/forum/showthre...t=calabria

I am really happy with his performance against Empoli. His crosses are always on point. If we now have another good defender, he can continue to play offensive.
Really happy where he is going. I believe that he is better than DES or Abate within the next two years. |
