It's a repeat of the same. Thin squad done on purpose bites you back. We had only futuro strikers on the bench today, even if the game is somehow not important this is not correct, just cause Leao and Gimenez are out doesn't mean this is ok. The money on offer for winning this is really good, as much as I and some of us don't care about Coppas and Supercoppas the team needs this.

I think a club like Milan should care about every competition and put out a squad capable of winning every competition. This club is starved of trophies and I really think it's laughable and down-right arrogant to look down on trophies. I don't see any other big club doing that to be honest.
With that said, of course, clubs have priorities. But even if the sole focus for us this year was Serie A, I think we were playing with fire with the squad we have. Particularly, the options coming off the bench. For me, it's not much the squad size. I think the size it's adequate. But it's more the quality of those outside of the top 15 or so. And to be clear...i'm not saying Athekame or Odogu don'/ have quality. But they are clearly not ready to contribute at the highest level. They are projects and young talents that need to develop and will take time....which again, doesn't go along with the narrative of "squad was built for 1 competition only".
