I don't know how to feel about this cup (or what to wish for). Last year's success gave me the glimpse hope which quickly evaporated.
At least, I guess, I won't need to get up so early in the morning and have the whole day ruined (yes, I am still sour about today's game).

What kind of garbage was this? Worst match of the season. Period. Allegri is going all on Serie A. Thats obvious.
If you take a look at our season so far, only against Udinese in that 3-0 victory, we really impressed. All the other matches are either scrappy wins, or directly lucky wins. This is kind of alarming. There is no purpose in our offensive play. We are dangerous like a muppet. At the start of the season we could at least rely on a stone wall of a defence. Now its leaking. two today, two against Sassusolo, two against Torino etc etc. We need to shape things up to fight for the scudetto and the fourth place. The formation of 3-5-2 has been OK, but it doesnt get the best out of the squad, I would thing about that 3-4-3 with a proper striker like Icardi in January. We need Leao out left. As a SS he is like a fish out of water, and when both RM and LM is better defensively, we have a problem with scoring enough goals.
With a 3-4-3 the defensive shape is the same, but without the ball it will be a 5-2-3 with good defensive stability. We could also exploit Pulisic and Leaos speed on the wings. Right now our play is so central. We need to spread opposition a lot more, and the way to go is more play on the wings. Of course that man less in central midfield need to be solved and in my opinion that should be Rabiot- Fofana. They have both the lungs, and physicality to do so. I love Modric but you cant rely it on a 40 year old man. You can say a lot about Fofana, and i agree, but either him or Ricci should play. Jashari needs more time. So far im not impressed. To timid, and always choose the easy way.
Lets focus on Serie A, and a good January market.

De Winter should never step on the field again, he is as bad in defense as Nkunku is bad in attack. How can a defender with Seria A experience be this bad? It is absolutely disgraceful.

Had work meetings and couldn't watch. When this happens, I typically stay away from the internet because I don't want to somehow see the score. Well....I happened to glance at the TV and saw the score anyway. Glad I did. I'll still watch the game, but at least my blood pressure won't be spiking.
