Europa League QF: Milan - Roma - nefremo - 04-11-2024
Day of the game and saw there is no thread. So I'll try my luck for the first time this season. Hopefully it works out.
I think we are a much better team than Roma. DDS has brought some enthusiasm and overall better play for them. But we are living the best moment of this season. Away goals don't matter anymore, so a draw at home is no longer that bad of a result as it used to be. But with that said, I fully expect a win today....preferably by at least 2 goals.
I generally don't like meeting other Italian clubs in Europe. Mainly because it's more intriguing and fun to play clubs we don't normally play in the course of the domestic season. But with that being said, it's never a good feeling to lose to an Italian club in Europe. It's a bit embarrassing. Especially if that club is Roma, who we are 13 points ahead of (or Inter/Juve, for other reasons).

Yes we have no excuses for this one. We are the better team and in good form. Hope the defence and midfield wont give too much away. Even though its only europa league I’m looking forward to this game. Serie A is almost settled so thats only half important these days.

I'm not too optimistic. We may be winning, but we are letting opponents score and get good chances. I hate have to score multiple goals to win a game. I'm a 1/2-0 kind of guy.
Our defenses is letting teams have goal scoring opportunities. The key will be who will those fall to? If Lukaku, we should be good. If to guys like Pelligrini or Dybala, we will need to score a lot to win.
Though it is a Serie A team, it is a european affair so no stupid Serie A refs. Thanks god.

We are a better team, and in great form, so i have confidence in the boys, but it will be goals both ways, no doubt.

Bad first half. We get to the final third but not enough movement. Players need to try their luck more with shots outside the box. RLC non existent similar to Leao. We should consider Chuck for Leao and put Pulisic on right wing or take off RLC and out Leao as CF.
Btw, I wish Milan this had this other dimension of play where we can play a mid block, soak up pressure and counter like Roma is now. This dimension is needed to be successful in Europe. You saw Barca and Real do it. Pioli just needs to consider ANY other defensive strategy.

This was abysmal! Tactically outclassed by DDR. With a little more luck, Roma could have had a 3-0 lead to HT...
Bad performances all over. It could only be better.
Out with RLC and Bennacer. In with Adli and Chuky. We need more progressive passing, Bennacer sucks at it. We should also consider Okafor as a CF. Giroud gets eaten by Mancini- Smalling. We need to move their defence more. They are 100% comfortable now.
Lets turn this shitshow around in the second half.
