Judging from your posts, your written English seems fine to me. I don't know about your spoken English, but that can be improved fairly quickly once you are in an English-speaking environment. I would not worry too much about that.
I think you should be fine. Just make sure that you don't tell people silly things like "Huntelaar is the best attacker in the world" or something. They actually know football there in Europe.

your English is fine Zeekay, if you speak as well as you type/write but saying that English is no use at all if your in Germany, Denmark or Norway, they would expect you to learn their language i should imagine, unless you goto an english speaking university.

As far as I know, Germany has some of the best universities in the world, like the Ludwig-Maximilians Universitaet in Munich. The only con side is that German is a very difficult language to learn. You can also look for universities in Italy, as the Italian language is a lot easier than most North European languages (apart from English). From what I've heard Firenze, Bologna, Milan and Turin have good universities.

German isn't that difficult to learn imo, i learnt German and took exams in it at school but anyway there is an English speaking university in Rome, Zeekay, just as a point though have you ever been to Europe before? its a big step to take to immerse yourself in a new culture and a new way of living in a new continent.

I did some German course for about two years, as I wanted to study there, but I failed the language exam twice. Maybe it's just me, I don't know, but I found it very hard.
There are English speaking universities everywhere to be honest. It's just a matter of choice. Out of curiosity, where are you from mzk?

IMO, German is not difficult but strange. For example, the word order is very confusing.
Out of curiosity, what kind of language exam did you take? TestDaF, DSH or made by the Uni?

back in college, I tried to learn some German too, but dropped from the class only after two weeks. I was happy enough that I learned English well. German was way too hard for me.

Thanks Aficio. I took the admission exam for the Studienkolleg, it's kind of the last year of high school for foreign students, to learn the language better and the terminology used in the faculty the student chooses. It is a standard test made by all the state universities in Germany as far as I know.
I have found very hard the declination of the names and adjectives, and subjunctive 2. Also the word order is confusing.
I'll certainly won't apply in German universities anymore.

English is very, very easy as far as I'm concerned (maybe only Italian is easier, not grammar-wise though). I have never done any English course/studying in my life, only what I learned in middle school and high school and watching movies. I scored 91 points in the TOEFL test I took a few months ago.
