Sassuolo are midtable exactly.

No point mentioning the ref here. He did his job, we do not do ours.

Not blaming ref but two times Thorstvedt made a foul near our goal, both times the ref acknowledged the foul but asked Maignan to take a goal kick, this is strangely funny but for sure not how a foul should be treated and very much against the rules.

Seemed quite soft to me. If the ref "acknowledged" the fouls, I'm sure he would stop play if Thorstvedt had gained any real advantage from them. If not, then just let play go on and don't break up play unnecessarily.
