What's the best formation possible from these players:

We only have mediocre or untested CBs, so 3 CBs is a must, hence, 2 WBs is a must.
We only tested and played 3 CMs, so, 3 CMs is also a must (at least for a couple of months).
That leaves only 2 slot for forwards.

Sempre loves the idea of playing all 3 sweet names: Leao, Pulisic, and Nkunku in 3-4-3; but I think if we really use all 3, one of Pulisic & Nkunku should play AM like Mkhitaryan (former SS, Winger) in Inter 3-5-2 system. Since Mkhi came, his playing time was always top 5 despite his age and gave Inter 1 Scudetto & 2 CL finals, this season they tried their best to land Lookman (an SS), I think not for the 2 where there are Lautaro, Thuram, Bonny & Esposito, but for 36 years old Mkhi. Besides using 2 box-to-box, having an AM with the ability of SS/Winger should be tried.
My "Mkhi" is Pulisic since he knows the team better.

I have a theory (or, maybe I read it somewhere Icon_lol2) that we play 3ATB only tentatively because our current players aren't up to the standard to play 4; similarly, we don't have a quality ST which is why Allegri opts to play 2-man attack for now. Once we get better players, or our players get better, Allegri may go back to 4-3-3. This may even happen during the season.

A little sad to see only 4 Italians in the squad. Hopefully that'll change next year with the addition of some of our youth players that are now on loan.

Not sure aboutb"ideal", but would love to be able to play like this:

-------------------Mike-------‐------------
Saele - KDW - Gabbia - Estupiñán
------------------Ricci----------------------
---------Modric-------Rabiot-----------
----Puli-------Nkunku------------Leao

Nkunku is not a 9, so the front 3 would need to move freely. But it's hard to play in Italy without a reference up top.

Alternatively, we could remove one of Ricci/Modric, and insert a reference in Santi. So more of a 4231, but i' scarred from last season and I just wanna see a stable defense that's adequately protected. As things stand, we're likely to see 3 CBs rather than 2.

Another option is to maybe go 3421 like below...but again, bug concerns with defending.

-----KDW - Tomori - Gabbia-----
Puli-----Ricci------Modric---Estu
-----------Nkunku---Leao-----------
------------------Santi------------------
