for some... I've given 2.5 as they just weren't around enough to be rated differently.

Maignan - 5 stars. Not much to say. simply been the best in the league and an absolute godsend. We should send Gigio a present thanking him for how things went down as it meant that we got our hands on Magic Mike instead.
Mirante - 2.5 - no games so no rating
Tătărușanu - 2.5 - was fine enough as a backup keeper. was average some games but the Inter penalty save contributed to winning us a title.

Ballo-Touré - 1.5 - was extremely average when called upon.
Calabria - 4 - Solid this season. Started strong and petered off a little but was always solid for us. Just sometimes offered little going forward which was a hard task given who he had in front of him most of the time. Saele/Messias
Florenzi - 4 - Started weak but ended up being a solid addition to the squad. always performed well when called upon and often looked better than Calabria.
Gabbia - 3 -Solid enough when called upon. didn't get a great deal of game time. needs more game time if he is to progress. could do well with being loaned out.
Hernandez - 4.5 - had some poor moments throughout the season but almost always one of our best players. one of the players of the season and an absolute machine of a player.
Kalulu - 4.5 - absolute surprise. the way he's grown into the CB role this season has been exceptional. Absolute masterstroke by the club.
Kjaer - 4 - was great when he played until he got injured.
Romagnoli - 3.5 - I still love the guy for what he's given us all these years but unfortunately I think we've outgrown him. as things stand he's 4th choice based off form (if Kjaer returns to his former self) and will drop further down if we pick up botman.
Tomori - 5 - for me... clearly the best CB in the league. screw Serie A for giving it to Bremer. Absolute monster in defence and a huge credit goes to him as Mike for this seasons defensive record.

Bakayoko - 2 - was mostly trash when called upon. should definitely be sent packing.
Bennacer - 4 - definitely biased as he's one of my favourites but did well when playing but not at his best this season. hopefully can stay issue free and hit form again with a proper pre season.
Castillejo - 2.5 - works hard when called upon but just ineffective leading him to getting next to no game time. pretty much sums up his whole time at Milan. Hopefully he's gone too end of season.
Brahim - 3 - started off strong and thought we had a great solution to the CAM position. lost his way and became essentially a more skillful Samu in 2022.
Kessie - 3.5 - did well when needed but jsut not good enough. even worse that he's asking top dollar to stay. good luck being rubbish on top $$ elsewhere.
Krunic - 3.5 - If you asked me in Jan I would have said to get rid of him but have changed my mind. Definitely the kind of guy you want to stick around. happy to play when needed. plays wherever he is asked to play without issue. works hard for the team and seems to genuinely love the the club and being there. Not the best player but definitely a must stay in my view.
Messias - 3.5 - the better of the two RW options. works hard, creative enough but not a starter. a not bad bench player and one I'd consider signing considering his cheap cost.
Saelemaekers - 3 - loves the club. works hard for the team. but just overall.... Meh. largely ineffective on the picth and has not developed the way we'd have liked. would consider selling him if we get a good offer and keep Messias as the bench option for the short term.
Tonali - 5 - One of the best players this season. exploded this season and is fast becoming a superstar for us. definitely deserving of the number on his back and, for me, 100% our future captain. No other player plays for the shirt like he does.

Giroud - 4.5 - I was sceptical about this signing. Always liked the guy but, like many, thought we might have been signing someone at the tail end of his career with little to offer. boy was I wrong. both Giroud and Ibra offered so much wehn they played. the only downside was the injury issues. As good as he was. We need to look at options for next season.
Ibra - 4.5 - 3.5 of that is what he offers us just being there. the leadership he offers. On the picth was ok in patches but just too many injuries. he's past it as a player I think but would do everything we can to keep him around next season. Would love to see him as one of the assistant coaches under Pioli.
Lazetic - 2.5 - not enough game time to be able to proeprly rate the kid.
Leao - 5 - without him we wouldn't have won this Scudetto. His form in 2022 has been immense and he keeps growing game by game. At times just completely unplayable. we need to get a RW and a more mobile ST to allow him the freedom to perform the way he has been.
Maldini - 2.5 - was fine when called to play but nothign special. Kid needs to be loaned out to get consistent game time.

I just voted using the link. Here's a little summary....

Maignan, Kalulu, Tomori, Theo, Tonali, Bennacer, Kessie, and Leao all got a 5 from me. I wasn't sure if we are rating their season or rating them as players. If the later, than none of them are 5s...mainly because ALL of them (crazy to think) ar enowhere near their peak.

Anyway gave them 5s because they all played a huge role at one point or another during the season. And even when they had "lows", it wasn't so much of being in a slump but more of someone else near them performing better and being in better form.

In terms of a player of the season.....I'm having a very hard time between Maignan, Tomori and Leao. I would throw Theo in that mix as well, although the other 3 are probably slightly ahead. One of them for sure deserves it. Or better yet, all 3 do. Leao probably had the most up and down performances...but such is the nature of his position. Maignan was just an absolute beast. He really could be the best GK we ever have. Yes, you heard thay right. Of course, he'd need to keep this up over a number of years for that. And Tomori? I can't imagine our defensive line without him.

Like I said....it's scary to thonk what this group can become.

Leao - 22

it's crazy stupid that all our best players are potentially not even close to peak. If we can keep a hold of these guys and expand on them, we've easily got 6-8 years of quality from them.

also agree with the Mike thing. It's a big call, but lets be honest. as much as I love some of our old Keepers(Dida is a personal favourite of mine), it's not as if any were the best ever and Mike is showing to be at least the most versatile we've ever had. if he keeps going like this, he'll definitely be i the discussion no matter how much he does/doesn't improve further.

Thanks, Reza. I was able to vote again as well.

One quick question: I noticed that there were some half-star available at default (not for all players), and if I don't change them, it seems that I should be able to submit as it. However, once I change it to whole star, half-star rating is no longer an option. Is that by design? (Or, maybe I missed something?)

EDIT: I now wonder perhaps those "half-stars" were the running average? Perhaps it is never possible to vote half-star rating? (I didn't try submit them anyway, so I could definitely be wrong in my previous assumption.) Now it says 'thank you for voting' so I guess I can never find out again.

Unless, ... , Reza, can you make another poll just for the final game? OK I am just messing with you. Grinundwech

I *hope* I have fixed it Big Grin

The existing stars you see before voting (or just looking at the page without voting) is the average ratings for the player. The script only allows whole number voting (1,2,3,4,5 not 1.5, 2.5, etc)

Maignan- 5 stars. No explanation needed.
Mirante-1 star , didn't play.
Tătărușanu- 3. That penalty stop vs Inter gave him an extra star.

Ballo-Touré -2.5. Didn't see him enough but what we saw was average.
Calabria- 4. Was good for the most part but had very sub-standard games too.
Florenzi -4. Started the season poorly but was more than capable at RB/LB than RW.
Gabbia- 2.5 Didn't play much. Needs to be loaned.
Hernandez -5. Not much to be said other than he has improved defensively.  Look out Europe!
Kalulu- 5. Surprise of the season. Best 500K ever spent ?
Kjaer-4. IMHO his presence is underrated especially when he was injured.
Romagnoli-3. Professional but his time as starter is over. Replaced by Kjaer,  then Tomori,  now Kalulu next Botman (or whoever) but never complained publicly anyway.
Tomori-5. Formed "the wall" at the end with Kalulu. Great CB and will keep getting better.

Bakayoko-1. When on was diabolical expect vs Atletico.
Bennacer -4 Was not always good. But was important down the stretch.
Castillejo-2. Barely played.
Brahim-2. Disappointment of the season after a great start.
Kessie-4. Made my peace with him leaving. He was very good at the end of the campaign.
Krunic- 3. His last few game's moved him from 2.5
Messias- 3.5  solid campaign. 6 goals 2 assists.
Saelemaekers- 3. Similar to Brahim. Would sell while he has some credits.
Tonali- 5. After his last season, you wouldn't know this is the same kid. Future Captain.

Giroud- 4.5 Close to 5 since he was so decisive in big matches but was also anonymous in smaller games.
Ibra- 4. When you consider he had 8 goals before his body failed him. He is 5 if we consider his off fifield presence.
Lazetic- 1. No explanation needed.
Leao- 5. Most improved in Serie A.  Give him €6M.
Maldini- 2. Injured and didn't play much.
Rebic- 2.5 needed him so often but his injuries and form let us down a lot.

Pioli - 5. Had to overcome injuries, covid, no AM , no RW , shit referring.
