We tried that. We played Flamini-Ambrosini-Gattuso. I still have nightmares because of it.

Juventus doesn't have a player who can play on Pirlo's level. In fact, no one does.
That's why Pirlo is such a two-sided sword. Great when properly used, but when tired becomes a liability and is not easily replaced. Especially when the team is used to having him on the field, sub him and the team is lost.
