Did anyone read Berlusconi's interview with Milan Channel? He said the reason for selling Ibra and Silva was that due to the financial crisis, Fininvest couldn't spend much on Milan this year, because they have to keep many other companies financially afloat. Then, when PSG made a second bid for both Ibra and Silva, he and Galliani also knew that this was the last year anyone would be willing to pay that much money for two players, due to the Financial Fair Play rules coming into effect soon. Basically it was a way to balance the club finances for the next 3-4 seasons. He added that his heart bled when he sold them, but it was necessary.
Interestingly, he also said that he would welcome foreign investors to buy shares in Milan, since he only wants what's best for the club.
