Quote:Milan is Tasci’s dream

Stuttgart defender and Milan target Serdar Tasci is keen for a move to the Rossoneri this summer, says his agent, but competition comes from Barcelona.

The German international defender of Turkish descent has been linked with a €12m move to San Siro as a replacement for the departed Thiago Silva.

According to his representative, it is a move that the 25-year-old would welcome, even if competition for his signature carries some strong names.

The player really loves the club and I must stress that since he was a child he dream has been to play for Milan,” enthused Francesco Di Frisco to Milannews.it.

“We’re talking about a guy who is already a strong player. He’s only 25 yet he is already the captain of Stuttgart, has played over 200 times in the Bundesliga and has managed 15 appearances in the Champions League.

“It is hard to find people at that age with this experience.

“Certainly, Stuttgart do not want to lose their captain. But, if they fix a price and a buyer is willing to pay it and the player wants to leave then it is difficult to keep hold of him.

“There’s a lot of competition for him. Around him are Barcelona and clubs in England - Manchester City and Tottenham Hotspur are interested.”

I think we should forget a superstar striker coming in. I think we'll keep one of cassano or robinho, possibly both, pato and possibly sign destro and that will be it. I hope they bring paloschi back if they're selling one of cassano or robinho though, just for the cover.

to be honest, a central defender is far more important, with mexes, yepes and acerbi as our main centre backs we'd need messi and ronaldo up front to cover the amount of goals we'd ship.

OR prepare to be amazed by all of the players that can finally step up their game after being shadowed by Zlatan Ibrahimovic (and maybe a new defensive leader will step up, mexes could perhaps step up his game ? TS was far from perfect and losing him makes me far less sad than Nesta / Maldini).

Fact is, last season we did start to play more creative without Ibra. Urby Emanuelson made official statements in Algemeen Dagblad (Dutch newspaper) that players were scared of Zlatan and that Zlatan could get furious if Urby or Robinho did not play with him the way HE wanted them to. I am not sad at all to see him leave. He's talented, but a massive dickhead who bullies his own team mates (reminder of him grabbing onyewu by the throat two seasons ago ?).

About PSG and other oil clubs:

Maybe we will get it harder right now... but when the oil dries up and clubs are finally accounted for their big spending... Milan will come clean and clubs like PSG, Madrid, Barcelona, Chelsea,... will get in to BIG trouble (much like Rangers did).

I think we can forget about any superstar coming in. Also, I don't think we can get Paloschi back; Destro is Roma bound; Robinho seems likely to leave; Cassano already warned that he would leave if Silva and Ibra leave; Boateng wanted a raise and is being lured by Real Madrid.

According to Galliani, he has been contacted by agents of 15 defenders. I hope that we get Balzaretti (unlikely) and/or Ogbonna (can play LB/CB; Italian; young; one-year contract left), and/or Astori (Milan youth product) and then we should be fine (or, I will be happy).

I think we can look forward to a superstar striker coming in
What I think we can look forward to, is another season with no silverware....Allegri may be an above average coach, but he is no miracle worker, and we no longer have enough world-class talent to make the difference in key matches....shoot we don't have players we can count on to either keep goals from going in against us, or to put them away when we need them.

I am not surprised at us losing both Ibra and Silva in one mercato...what would surprise me is if we actually replace them with anyone remotely close talent wise.

I really doubt Dzeko or Tevez will arrive...I have more confidence in a defender, though I don't know enough about any of the mooted prospects to even speculate / hope that whomever arrives will bring the class necessary to make a difference.

Let's see what happens though...the mercato has a ways to go yet.

I LOVE MILAN
Tasci is certainly a solid defender.

Tasci>rolando

Although rolando is a beast and also in the air but apparently he has a better attacking side then defending .. no thank you
