@Dev
I have a slightly different take on this. I believe when PSG became interested, and Milan showed interest in negotiations, Milan let T. Silva and his agent know. This seems obvious. I think agents will always try to capitalize on interest like this.
7 million for T. Silva imo is fair. I believe the bigger issue is the interest of Barca/PSG + the fact that T. Silva DOES NOT nearly as much as Ibra. It's a combination. I don't believe that our willingness to deal has brought us here. I think T. Silva's stock has risen, and it is normal his agent will try to jump on this chance.
I believe T. Silvba doesn't seriously want to play for PSG over Milan, therefore I think we will settle with him at 7 million or something.
Guys remember when Real Madrid showed interest in Kaka, Galliani actually permitted them to talk to Kaka first. Kaka was offered a sizeable salary increase, which we attempted to match with a new contract. He stayed for a couple of years after that.
In the end, as I have always maintained, T. Silva will leave in 2013
. Calma...almeno per un altro anno
.
EDIT: I would like to add, however, that this story by Gazzetta seems a bit silly. I don't think after foregoing such a large sum, we would let Thiago over a few million, over a couple of years.
