anyway, while De Jong is dirty, he is a good player. Perfect replacement for Van Bommel who was also known as a dirty player, and somewhat changed with us. Plus a lot younger.
I don't know what that Serbia is either. Just copying.

However, the #1 GK in Cruzeiro(Fabio), besides to be a good keeper(overrated, but good) is the strongest senator on the team. Thus, he never had a chance to prove himself at pro level.
Technically wise, after watch Gabriel playing South America and WC under-20, it was clear for me he could start for a pro team any day. The young man at 18 already played like a pro GK... and for this reason, I don´t like the 3 o 4 years plan.
In my opinion, we need to throw Gabriel to the wolves ASAP. I´m not saying he needs to be the #1 GK, but I want to see how he will handle with the pro pressure of play for Milan. It´s part of his job to show composure in tough situations(he did at youths) and babysitting him will no help our cause. At least in my opinion...
Unfortunately, Abbiati has the second seniority in our team also, so I strongly doubt that Gabriel would get a chance, unless the freak situation occurs (like in '98-'99 which saw Abbiati himself skyrocketing from #3 to #1).
I don't mind the Julio Cesar route. Maybe we could loan (with no option to buy) Gabriel to a satellite club that guarantees himself a first spot for a season or two?
