However, the #1 GK in Cruzeiro(Fabio), besides to be a good keeper(overrated, but good) is the strongest senator on the team. Thus, he never had a chance to prove himself at pro level.
Technically wise, after watch Gabriel playing South America and WC under-20, it was clear for me he could start for a pro team any day. The young man at 18 already played like a pro GK... and for this reason, I don´t like the 3 o 4 years plan.
In my opinion, we need to throw Gabriel to the wolves ASAP. I´m not saying he needs to be the #1 GK, but I want to see how he will handle with the pro pressure of play for Milan. It´s part of his job to show composure in tough situations(he did at youths) and babysitting him will no help our cause. At least in my opinion...
