I don't even think they will get Astori, more like someone like Cordoba, renew Aqua and another freebie and call it a good summer.

Damn, this thread has had so many more new posts than the EURO match thread, even since England-France started.

I think we should start a thread about who will be a good owner for Milan. I mean with the current state of Milan, it is really no point talking about who is a good signing bc we all know Milan will sign the player who is the cheapest.
Damn, some days without reading the news and rumours and suddenly, Thiago Silva would be closer and closer from Paris ?!
![]() IF Thiago Silva leaves, I hope several thing : - a good defender will arive (stupid move because we have the best one) - Astori comes back to Milan and starts - We build a totally new defence with guys from our Primavera (from this season and last season) I don't want us to rely on Mexes and Bonera if Thiago leaves ... Abate and De Sciglio are enough for the right side, our left back position could be quickly "fixed" (Didac Vila, Emmanuelson, Antonini). We would have to work a lot on the centre of our defence, but instead of taking a risk by letting guys like Mexes leading our defence, it would be better, for once, to let our young players (some of them were impressive this season with our Primavera and in Serie B) lead our defence and create, maybe, new glories made in Milan.
One should not speak ill of the dead.
So stop laughing at Juventus !

It is still unthinkable (for me at least) to sell Thiago Silva immeidately after Nesta departure. It is absurb, but of course I don't know how our management thinks.
If the talk was real, the damage would have been done, regardless of whether Silva stays or not for this year. I remember that Silva in a recent interview (about a month ago, iirc) said that he appreciated that Milan considered him as non-transferrable by simply rejecting all requests; he said that he believed once any negotiation opened up, it doesn't matter the results but he would feel hurt. Or something to that effect. A smart move I like to see is go for Dede, whether he is going to be Silva's replacement or partner.

It would have been much easier for anyone who would replace Thiago. And, if we are in need of money, and lets assume that we are going to balance the books. Is it not better to sell Ibra??? He is replaceable within our squad, (plus his huge wage is a problem). No extra transfer required, lower wages, younger squad, better group atmosphere. There is a logic. But what we gain with Tiago departure??!! He is a irreplaceable character within our group. Both from footballing and other aspects. The best what we could get in the defender market will not go under 25 mil (if other teams know you cashed in 50 mil for your defender). So this makes this sale even more disturbing. It does not make any sens. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------- One more thing, Both Berlu and Galliani are born "spin doctors". Don`t be surprised if tomorrow both come out and say Tiago is staying, we resisted 50 mil offer. the mercato is closed and everybody is happy.
