Wtf is going on? Milan Channel have just denied that there are any negotiations going on between PSG and Milan for Thiago Silva.

It's unlikely that both Sky and L'Equipe made it up. Who knows, he might stay, but I really doubt there were/are no negotiations

Can anyone explain to me in as simple terms as possible, what it is about this so called "Financial Fair Play" that allows clubs like Man City, Barcelona, PSG, etc to spend so much money..but renders Milan broke? If FFP is on the horizon, why aren't other clubs scared about how much money they're spending?

FFP is about how much money can be spent and also how much deficit an owner can cover. Those teams are being creative with the 'owner can cover deficit' part. Because for example the shirt sponsor is the same owner as team owner.

But most of all they are trying to call Platini's bluff and see how tough he wants to get on them.

I can't explain either, but from what I gathered, FFP may as well be a moot point and can not be effectively enforced with the many loopholes it has.

Berlusconi certainly can spend if he wants to, but he just doesn't, and is simply using FFP as a convenient excuse.

1. FFP does not put clubs debt or the interest to pay off the loan for that debt.

2. Bascially FFP only restricts team from spending the amount they earn for the first few yrs while disregarding their expenses bill. But clubs must show improvement in cutting their expenses.

3. An injection of money from owner is allow but it will be for the shares of the club and not a loan.

This is what everybody's trying to understand. Barcelona actually can't spend that much anymore though, as they are trying to comply with the new rules. They will no longer get into debt to buy new players. But I have no idea what's going on with clubs like PSG and Man City.

Like I said many times, I think the FFP will only hurts the mid table clubs while big clubs like Chelsea, Real, City, PSG and even Barca won't be affected by much.
