Summer mercato 2012
I'm not surprised Berlusconi is angry at Galliani. I've said many times here that Galliani is guilty for our bad financial situation.

I'm not going to write the same stuff all over again, but it was an absolute madness to extend a 33-year old contract for 4M salary. And it wasn't just one, but two of them. That's 16M after taxes! We actually should take care of our veterans, but to give them a 4M a year when their input is practically zero is just..wrong. No matter how many "good" deals Galliani managed to make, a most of them just looked good. Take Flamini for example: at the time we took him he was among three of the best holders in the world and he came for free; but many people overlooked the fact that his salary was big, and that's why Milan (and not some other club) got him. Through the years, Flamini was never seriously considered as a starter, and yet his salary was always among the highest here.

As for Ibra 40M offer: don't think we'd spend that money on transfers. As simple as that.
Just want to clarify when I said we can sell Ibra for 40m, re-investing that money in players was one possible use of that money. I'm not saying we will use that money to buy Strootman, Dede or whoever else, just that we could.
if we would, i would be all for selling him...but knowing our management, i prefer him to stay.
Agree with u Revolver. Galli always make stupid deals, he might be great in bargaining transfer fees with other Cubs but he is horrible at giving out contracts. Who in the right mind would give a 2mil contract to Mesbah for 4.5 yrs. Or paying 2 mil and another 2 mil wages for Senderous.
no no no
look at it this way
u got someone who wants to buy your properties for 40m
and that properties doesnt even worth 40m anymore
would u keep or sell it??
even at 10m not everyone will buy this properties because of the high maintenance cost
would you letting money out of your pocket for something that is almost near the finish of its era
or
would you get some money to your pocket for something that is not everyone will buy
i would choose the 1st though

In exchange, Al Maktoum will have the naming right of the said player, who will then be known as Ahmed Mohammed El Shaarawy. Grinundwech

Yawn. For the first time in years I'm nearly bored to death during the silly season. I'm glad the Euro starts tonight. At least we have real football to talk about instead of the club's financial state or the betting scandal.

I totally agree with you nalx haha
Just finished watching Sky, apparently like elmago said above^ al maktoum rumours are getting heated and he'll provide 200 million euros to spend on players, ronaldo being the top objective.. I hope these rumours are true, for 30% of the club berlusconi still has the major authority so when you think about it were still in berlusconis hands but with an endless bank on our side Big Grin
