Important quotations today.
Galliani: "Thiago Silva doesn't have a price. Ibra will get the number 10 jersey. Though Milan are a great team, a few signings can make them divine."
As I have maintained, Thiago Silva will not be sold--this summer, at least. Next summer, IMO, he will be gone. It will be in keeping with our latest policy--sell players once there is a summer or two of heated interest around them, and sell them when they're either in decline or nearing 30 (see Kaka, Sheva for example).
Galliani, Allegri etc. wouldn't say all that and then sell T. Silva this summer. I just don't see it happening. When sales have occurred in the past, Galliani has been much more coy or cryptic. He lies about other stuff, but he maintained the same thing about Kaka during the summers he didn't want to sell him (he has no price, Kaka will stay, we will resist any offers for him etc.). The summer he was let go (2009), he evaded the interviewer's question about Kaka's sale.
IMO, this is big news. I really don't think T. Silva is leaving, and that is great new for now.
