Summer mercato 2012
I still remembered Maldini coming out and said, Lucio is someone Milan must try their best to sign as he is a very talented defender....The Galli came out and said Cap should concentrate on playing and let signing players to him and Braida.

Something is wrong inside Milan and quite frankly, Silva and Ibra are holding better cards than Galli.

Actually, no. What they say isn't exactly the same and Thiago used his head when speaking. Firstly, what Ibra said is inexcusable. He openly criticised Milan's spending and said we can't afford what we need. This might be true, but given he's the highest paid player in Italy, just saw Mediaset (read: Berlu) cover a 70m debt and is the most pampered player at Milan, quite frankly what he said is extremely insulting to his employers. Secondly, he makes specific references to what he thinks we need and again says we can't get it. This comment alone wouldn't be particularly controversial, but in addition to the other stuff, again it's deminishing the value of his teammates (in this regard one could argue he's just honest), coach and management.

What Thiago said is what Maldini said in 2007, Ambro in 2010 or 2011 (can't remember which) and Rino just a month ago. Basically, while competitive this team does need reinforcement to compete at the highest levels. This isn't insulting the management, nor does it undermine his coach, although as with Ibra it can be perceived to devalue his teammates. Though as with Ibra, this can be accepted being honest. However, he doesn't talk about Milan being unable to buy player etc, which is the key sticking point.

Supposedly, Ibra's comments have left Berlu furious and Raiola's comments have done little to ease the pressure. Apparently Berlu is prepared to sell Ibra immediately, and given that there were rumours that Allegri, Galliani and Berlu had previously a meeting about Ibra becoming unmanageable, this might further convince Berlu to sell Ibra. All news is from Milannews and normally I might not give it much interest, but given Berlu is an extremely proud man, Ibra's comments may well stir such a reaction.

no offense, but to me, you just have double standards when it comes to those two.

they have said the same thing, just in different words.
guys, if Ibra's own agent realized that he fucked up and tried to "explain" his comment (which if you read the explanation and the actual comment was a ridiculously poor attempt), how can you argue that he was right to say what he said? his f**** agent pretty much confessed he was wrong.

And anyone who has minimum common sense knows that "we are a competitive squad that needs a few reinforcements" (a phrase probably used by most players when talking about the transfer season) does not mean "Milan is broke and cannot sign the needed players"....and what an ass would say his employers are broke when he is the highest paid footballer in the country and one of the highest in the world?!!

talk about double standards and members thinking with their hearts not their minds...
According to football Italia, Merkel is not heading back to Genoa for a one year loan. Finally some good news.
Don't accuse me of "thinking with heart". I don't like Ibra as a person at all, but I don't let my personal preference cloud my view of truth. And the truth is (100 times said on this forum) that we're broke. And the truth is Ibra is one of the best players in the world.
I think Galliani pretty much confirmed that they sold Milan's half of Merkel to Genoa so he is 100% a Genoa player unless football italia knows something Galliani does not.

Pirlo goes out with another interview saying something like: "at Milan they thought I was finished but here I am..."
to be honest, i really don't understand how Pirlo can turn out to be such a punk...did we really do something that bad to him or is simply the despicable Juve gene kicking in???

A few new rumors about us keeping an eye on a young Greek defender from Schalke, any of our Greek members can give us some feedback about him?

when you work for a company and you are getting paid a huge salary and everybody thinks and talks that your company is pretty much broke (you with your colleagues and friends and family .....) do you go out on TV and tell the world we need some employees to fill a few vacancies but we can't afford them because we are broke?

regardless if something is true & even common knowledge (like Ibra is a great player), mature, responsible, & respectful people (not to mention proclaimed leaders) do not go out humiliating their employers in public....& if you don't think that a successful businessman / prime minister would not feel humiliated because one of his employees said he is broke then there is no use debating this anyway. (regardless what we all think about Berlusconi...)

Look we as fans we are allowed to have double standards. We are attached emotionally to this team, and it is not a major sin to have clouded judgment.

I tried to explain earlier in this thread this exact debate. Even before Tiago Silva making these comments, I said it will be different if Tiago said it and Ibra saying it. Simply because i believe that Tiago has always behaved and he always has had honest intentions towards MIlan. On the other hand we have Ibrahimovic who has always tried to make himself important above everything else, he is an individualist and sometimes his words and decisions are led by his individualism. To be more concrete I don`t believe that he had entirely honest intentions when he said those words. His agent going out to try to undo what Ibra said just proves how much he has screwed up. Plus his words and tiagos are different in their core.

Look on a footballing matter you will not find one member(bar zeekay) who questions how important Ibra has been to us. But what we are asking is weather he is becoming the part of the problem too.

If not by Milan situation just rewind the tape. Mourinho let him go after Ibra having the best season in his Inter career. (he won the treble the next season) . Pep let him go after "half" season after Ibra scoring 22 goals in all competition after paying for him 69 mil. He won the double next season. Does this prove smth??!!

We might have double standards with Ibra, i dont think Mou and Pep had. They are the best coaches in the world.

I might have overreacted when I said we should sell him immediately. But we should definitely do damage control when it comes to Ibra.
