He came to Real Madrid 1 year ago on a 6 year deal and they already want to get rid of him. He played only in 10 matches in all competitions this season. And Borussia Dortmund wasn't doing any worse without him, they still won the Bundesliga. I'm not saying he's bad or anything, just that I'm not 100% convinced he's that great. But as for all other players, should he arrive at Milan I hope he can prove me wrong.

I'm so happy about managements recent decisions i could almost say galliani and co are great to be running our club, the last part of this task is for them to spend money to find the replacements..
Letting useless players like aqua and maxi go was a perfect step one, letting most of our legends go was another big step. signing montolivo and traore is decent as the transfer market didnt even open yet.. links with some back up to them to players like witsel, sahin, strootman, tevez, balotelli,de jong, ogbonna, acerbi and signing a player like ELS is what i like to see.
Inter favourites to sahin? Of all clubs in the world, I think we have the best relationship with the owner, but the fact of the matter is they bought some important players from them like sneijder, where as mourinho is also the coach we musn't forget.
Im just mad about one thing- the fact that we gave full ownership of merkel to genoa. stupid retarted can't begin to explain how stupid that move was

We have been trying to strengthen our youth for the past 2 seasons (to be able contribute to first team) , but after what we had witnessed glimpse of hope that Merkel could be the one making way from youth to first team, Mgt just sold him to Genoa!
Now what the hell they wanna do?? Its not like we have many many excellent youngsters lining up ready for first team every now and then? nor we have budget to get another midfielder?? (to complete current one)
Im just so mad.

We have to accept the fact that Merkel isn't that good. I'm worried that we are desperately looking for a successful youth product that every youngster from our own ranks is suddenly being regarded as a wonderkid. Like when everyone here compares Paloschi with Balotelli... Merkel is not Thiago Alcantara, Nuri Sahin, Aaron Ramsey or Guti; heck he's not even Marchisio.
MILAN! MILAN! SOLO CON TE!
MILAN! MILAN! SEMPRE PER TE!

Well, noone is comparing Merkel with those names you mentioned above, we have to accept he is NO wonderkid, but based on few games he's got the chance to play, he showed he is not any worse than Flamini or any midfielders we have, he showed he's got some talent that if we gave him more games to play, he could somehow develop into one fine player.
And considering our tight budget (as always), imo he could be very useful in time to come.

IMO Merkel showed hopes that he could turn to a complete midfielder. He is not a very creative player like Alcantra, nor a wonder kid like Pato or an attacking midfielder who has has enormous speed with great dribbling. He is not. But he has all tools midfielder need to have. He has got AT LEAST good passing, crossing, ball controlling, speed, shooting and ability to read the game. He has no special ability except his complete mentioned capabilities which I think are very suited for modern football game.
It is really sad to lose him even for Italian talent like Shaarawy. The problem, I suppose, is not that we have to lose Merkel so that we can get Shaarawy but more due to our lack of money for spending (but we have unlimited financial resource for wages). There could probably like a mandatory requirement from Genoa so that Milan could get half of Shaarawy's contract last year and Merkel was the name Genoa pick?
We are not thinking that Merkel should always be starter but with current Milan midfielders, he would get many games with Milan.
"When Costacurta and Maldini won they didn't celebrate much. They were thinking about winning the next game" - Alessandro Nesta
The thing with Merkel is that he got all the tools to become someone great or at the very least a very solid player for Milan. Now I am not suggesting he is the new Ballack or Lampard but he is not someone Milan could afford to give away as part payment for another player.
I really don't understand how Milan can afford to pay Flamini and Traore while they can't pay Genoa for SES.
