I didn't know Ibra made TWICE as much as our next highest paid player?! That's madness! I'm surprised other players haven't started holding out for better contracts as well. How much were we paying Sheva? Does anyone remember? I also remember Kaka was earning something obscene too..when he only played well in the CL.

BLASPHEMY!!!!!!!!
No seriously Kaka was worth every penny before he got injured
Ibra's wages on the other hand might cause problems especially since he already thinks he is god and even Robinho, apparently the guy who is usually joyful and kidding with everyone, seem to have had enough
Don't put me on ignore because I am repeating myself :p this is the same...
Almost every problem we are having was something that was known or should have been known before the player was bought:
Ibra high wages and arrogant ... Taiwo didn't suddenly become unplayable in August, his style of play was known already .... on and on, many examples from present and past.
I don't consider these acceptable problems and if they are the management should take responsibility and fix it, it is amazing that we are first and just won a big CL game but still.
9 million Ibra wage is madness, simple as that. Yes, we did sign him relatively cheap, but not that cheap.
And to think that Raiola was talking about an improved contract for Ibra before the red card thing.
Does anyone have Barca's / Real's / Bayern's wages so we can compare?

Mystik, Kaka + Ronaldinho were on similar contracts earning around 9-10m a season too, but before we had Pirlo in second earning 6m then a few earning 4.5 and 4m... If you ask me, I don't think it's unfair to give Ibra this much. He's definitely playing better than Kaka and Ronaldinho did for us.
ELMago, I disagree, I think it should be relatively easy to drop the wage bill particularly because we have 8 players with contracts ending this summer... Only 2 / 3 of which deserve to stay here - Nesta, MvB and Roma as a third gk who earns nothing anyway. Our problem definitely lies in the attacking department:
Zlatan 9m
Robinho 4m
Pato 4m
Cassano 3.5m
Maxi 1.5m
Pippo 0.8m
El Shaarawy 0.5m
That is insane considering we only field two of those players at one time. Some wages need to be dropped from the striking department, in particularly those who aren't earning what they're being paid. Another thought about Pato's wages - he's only 22..that means his wages can only go up from now on. His next renewal will make him the second highest paid player in the team.
I think we will definitely let go of Maxi next summer, and 90% chance Inzaghi will leave. Cassano's condition will be re-evaluated at the end of the summer and the decision to sacrifice a striker and bring in Tevez will be re-thought for sure. My biggest concern now is just to get one or two great midfielders and soon we will need a great CB to replace Nesta (or Mexes - we will need three great CBs as we can see how comfortable we are this year with three good CBs).
flame, please add me to your ignore list.... if you can't resist reading my posts, then dont reply... people are getting bothered by these arguments, so if you have a prob send it to PM.

This. I could not agree more. Yeah, yeah, he had done this and that for us, maybe he deserved his wage for his performance, but this. This.

He did it lots of times so far, and every time its like deja vu. You can just order him to stop writing about Pato, because he irritates lots of people with his childish behaviour. It's his opinion? Fine, we ALL know it, no need to type it in every freaking thread or in chats during games, makin them unreadable too.
And this too.

MILAN! MILAN! SEMPRE PER TE!

I'll say what I basically said at the beginning of the Tevez Rumors. I would like to evaluate the situation in June. However, knowing what we know now, I would sell Pato, & Release Inzaghi + Maxi Lopez. I think 4 Strikers is good enough, and we could always use a Primavera Striker for Coppa Italia.
That would leave us Ibra, Robinho, El Shaaraway & Cassano. If Cassano cannot recover, I'd like to get Tevez.
Now, let's say hypothetically we release:
Flamini, Ambrosini, Zambrotta, Van Bommel, Seedorf, Zambrotta, Taiwo, Yepes, & Pato (If we sell him).
Everyone that wants these guys gone doesn't realize we need to replace all of them. If we replace them with solid/good players they will be expensive. Also, we will need to BUY these players. There are only a few players that are Free (Montolivo, Bosingwa, etc). Not even Keita is Free.
This will be very expensive and that's why I wouldn't count on us releasing as many players as you think. I could see even Seedorf being renewed. If Van Bommel decides to leave, we can't lose 2 anchors, so if he goes, Ambrosini must get re-signed. It's more complicated than we think.
If we sign Tevez for Pato, Tevez will want at minimum 6M Euros. Montolivo will want 4M+, and as I said lowering this wage bill will be more difficult than one may think.
I agree. Tevez or Montolivo would not come cheap, particularly Tevez. I am hoping that El Shaarawy will grow into a big star with low salary.
I don't envy Galliani. He is NOT in a good position considering little financial resource at his disposal.

The problem with Milan has more to do with players who can't play for the entire season. The squad itself is too big.
For starter, Milan has 5 CBs in Silva, Nesta, Mexes, Yepes and Bonera, while none of them is from their youth sqaud. Would it really hurt the team if the forth or fifth CB is actually a call up player from youth squad.
Then in midfield, there are Gattuso, Flamini, MVB, and Ambro as DMs, while Urby, Nocerino, Slowdorf, Merkel, Boateng and Aqualini as CM or ACM. There are a total of 10 midfielders fighting for 4 positions, on top of that guys like ELS and Robinho can also play as ACM if needed.
I think getting players who can stay healthy, usually younger players, will be the key to trimming down the wages.
If I am in Galli shoes, in defense, release, Yepes, Bonera and Zambro. Get Dilac back and promote one of the youth CB. In midfield, I would really let both Ambro, Flamini, Slowdorf and Gattuso go this summer, and resign MVB and promote Strausser. Thus, the midfield will have MVB, Strausser, Nocerino, Boateng, Urby and Aqua. Then groom ELS and Merkel into the modern type of ACM like Gotze and Ozeil. Keep the trio of Pato, Robinho, and Ibra, release Pippo and Maxi but recall Polashi and promote Berratta.
I just checked the Assist List in Calcio this season. Cassano is still leading the charts. What a blow. He would have been really helpful, cuz what he offers in creativity nobody else can in out team.
No ho visto Superman volare, ma ho visto Super Pippo segnare. I supereroi esistono davvero.
