Then we would have no traffic in here , and thread should be closed. For almost 5 months , until they scramble for Noce type deal's.
Well, still better than player X thing.

I think links like that will continue to let us down because it was never going to happen. A link is also nothing but a loose rumour in many cases.

To me a link is more like the Tevez thing, where it was real, with agents and reps from players and teams flying back and forth.

Tevez was way more than just a link, there were official negotiations ongoing. That happens to less than 1% of the players we're "linked" with...

That was a shambles and an utter embarrassment .

And we still didn't get him.So much for the thought of "IF A WC PLAYER COMES UP AT A DISCOUNT WE'LL GET HIM".

I don't expect much at all , I see some say here and elsewhere that Asamoah Kolarov/Alba Tevez Monty would be a great mercato , To me that would be a dream mercato.

It look's like Monty will be our star signing WallbangWallbangWallbang , and Inra Aquilani Maxi paid for , payment in Ibra's case.Muntari and extensions. It's going to be lacklustre IMO.

Pirlo luring Nesta to Juventus

If we allow him to go as we did Pirlo, Management will be the biggest Failures there is in Football.

We don't get all players that we're negotiating for, a final agreement couldn't be reached. Too bad, because Tevez could be very useful for us.

I don't want to paint our mercato black already. I don't expect us to spend crazy money and compare use with Chelsea, Man City, Real Madrid or Barcelona, but that doesn't mean we can't sign good players who can make us better.

Personally I think it was worse losing Pirlo. Unlike Pirlo, Nesta has shown signs of being over the top and we should be thinking of replacing him in the starting line up anyway. But maybe we should try and keep him for one more season.
No we don't but because of Ibra their seem's to be thinking along the lines of if a WC player that will make us better comes up for a bit cheaper than they would be we'll or Berlu will do all to get him. That isn't the case Ibra came for free on loan 2010/2011 and then 8 million for up to the next 3 year's , I think if Barca said no 24 million now or he won't go , then it may of different as 25 million would of got Tevez , but the wanted the same loan and then payments.City wouldn't budge , sometimes you pay the money especially for a quality player.

It seem's they want payments only or cheap or free players , sometimes it may work and sometimes it just won't.If they rely on that practice coupled with hope (cheap players) and free players then we'll never build a very good team. They either have to spend some money or stop with the circus that surrounds almost all transfer window's.Mr X was pathetic and to say it was Aquilani was ridiculous as they weren't even trying in June and July for him when Juve were trying sign him permanently from Liverpool.

I have no expectations regards transfers and don't see any spending on midfielder's or a LB that will make us stronger , just some low cost/out of contract player's.And I don't think we'll spend as much as mid table Serie A EPL la liga team's either. Can we get good players without spending obscene amounts of money yes but will they spend that say 30/40 million no chance.
on different note... just browsing top scorers across europe and notice a certain Klass-Jan huntelaar with 24 goals this season already...
NOT A HAPPY MILAN FANAngry
The problem with Milan transfer is that their plan is to sign whoever that is free, instead of looking at what the team lacks to be competitive.
To be honest, I can see the reasoning behind this two seasons ago when there are a lot of holes to fill but certainly not this summer.
I think Milan got the deepest squad in Serie A and might even have the deepest squad in Europe beside Real. When you look at the starting lineup of Milan:
Abbiatti-Abate-Nesta-Silva-Antonini-Nocerino-MVB-Aqua-Boateng-Ibra-Robinho with subs:
Amelia-Bonera-Yepes-Mexes-Mesbah/Zambro-Gattuso/Flamini-Ambro-Muntari/Urby-Slowdorf/Merkel-Pato-Cassano/Pippo/Lopez/SES.

When you look at this team, when and if healthy, thats a very stack team, heck, even the subs 11 can challenge Serie A.
I think Milan should really look at how to improve the starting 11 instead of adding more depth to the squad.

Agree!! we need better replacement for antonini and robinho, younger replacement for MVB at first 11.
