Summer mercato 2012
I think he has an eu passport, i read that somewhere too.

I strongly disagree. Why should we use all non-EU spots? Are all non-EU players better than EU, or there are more excellent non-EU players than in EU?

We should buy quality players regardless of his nation (except when dealing with Italians, as we were supposed to keep our heritage).

AC Milan are eyeing Chelsea attacker Salomon Kalou.

The Ivory Coast international is coming off contract next month and so far has refused to sign new terms.

Kalou is a target for Milan chief Adriano Galliani, though he will face competition from Arsenal for the Champions League winner.

I don't want Pato2 at Milan...
I was just about to post about that. A shame, as I've been one of the biggest advocates of Ganso over the years (and so far this summer), but this is now his third knee surgery.
Maybe Brasileiro can give more information regarding why he needs another surgery.[/quote]

He will be out for 30 days and he's expected to play the Olympics and Libertadores final if Santos reach it, however he will play tonight against Velez Sarsfield for the Quarter finals.
I don't know but I don't really look at this as an injury, it is a consequence of his numerous injuries but it's a precautionary surgery so he can play with no problems in the Olympics and the end of the Libertadores.
What Pato Milan said above, Dev...

It´s not an injure... but with his history, it will scare a lot of people...

I hope this Gabriel kid turns to be a good signing. Galliani's presenting him as a U20 WC champion today reminded me of a certain winner+MVP+top scorer in the not so distant past.

Lastly, between him and Neto (Fiorentina 2nd and Brasil NT 3rd choice GK who is still young too) which one is better?
per l'amaro e il dolce
We have pretty much zero good track record of signing lesser known younger players. If this changes it would be a huge plus.

The problem we are always after the best deal(money wise) and not the best player. I still remember my post were I wrote Adyaah was nothing special, that their LB was the best player. I watched almost every game of that tournament, and that was the reason I was bold in my prediction regarding Adyah, even with some poster saying I wasn´t impressed because he wasn´t Brazilian.

Henrique was the MVP of the last WC under-20, and I said he´s nothing special, too. Moreover, that Brazilian generation is very weak, can´t believe we won it. Gabriel and Oscar were some of the few bright spots in that Brazil NT. But Henrique was chose MVP(Oscar was the real MVP imo, with Gabriel following ) of the tournament and some club bought him. I´m glad it wasn´t MIlan.

Regarding Neto/Gabriel comparison, I can´t help because I only know the hype about the first. But Gabriel I saw playing and was impressive in Brazil under-20 NT. It´s not like we are buying someone that did nothing this time. Let´s hope we can develop him...
Glad to hear Flamini rejected.

Roma

Flamini, Gattuso, Seedorf, Aquilani, Merkel, Strasser, Van Bommel

Nesta, Zambrotta, (Taiwo), (Mesbah)

Inzaghi, Maxi Lopez

That's 14 Players Gone already, 7 of them being Midfielders. With Urby now moving to Left Back, that's another Midfielder essentially gone.

We've only replaced 3 (Traore, Montolivo, & Gabriel).

Galliani is essentially forced against his will to buy players this Mercato, Devilol I don't even know if there are enough Bosman's around for him to buy up to replace the amount of players need replacing.

Galliani announced 26 Players (AT MOST) to be in Squad next Year. Well let's look at what we have now, assuming Mesbah and Taiwo will not be here:

GK: Abbiati, Amelia, Gabriel
DF: T.Silva, Mexes, Acerbi, Yepes, Bonera, Emanuelson, Antonini, De Sciglio, Abate
MF: Boateng, Muntari, Nocerino, Ambrosini, Montolivo, Traore
AT: Ibrahimovic, Pato, Robinho, Cassano, El Shaaraway

Still room for 3 Players to come.. Will they be World Class or Free Scrubs.?

I hope It's Ogbonna,Strootman,Sneijder lol j/k but I like Strootman and Ogbonna, Mesbah & Taiwo Should both leave
May be I am pushing it a bit but...A 19 year old - especially a goalie - being a third keeper means not getting any games, is that the best idea for such age and such position? I mean it's not we are loaning or sending him to youth teams are we?
