Ok a rundown of the players this season:
Abbiati - Solid when called on, a good backup
Diego Lopez - Arguably the player of the season, often saving the side in dire times. However, he did make numerous mistakes through the year too
Agazzi - NA
De Sciglio - Needs to play with consistency and confidence. The ability and understanding seems to be there, but a second year in a row blighted by injuries means he's regressed as a player.
Abate - Had a great start to the year and injuries aside, has generally been a solid performer
Antonelli - Was excellent when he first joined, but it was also difficult for him to maintain that level of performance when the side struggled so badly. Still, he's earned a confirmation as a starter for next season.
Rami - Showed some competency at CB (and the first time he was used at RB), but clearly a poor relationship with Inzaghi and a lack of consistent game time affected his performances. It's notable that statiscally, he's got the highest rating for a CB in the squad this year, even despite that rating going down when he's used at RB.
Zapata - Barely used and frankly looked out of place when he was. He needs to leave, for his own sake too.
Alex - A really poor season given the expectations, Alex's performances have been poor to very poor and he's struggled physically.
Paletta - Solid, pretty much as expected. He's not a great defender, he can do a job when asked and he's strong physically, but lacks mobility.
Mexes - Still never understand when people consider him the squad's best defender, he's got poor discipline and is downright lazy at times. Should be shown the door in the summer.
Albertazzi - NA
Bocchetti - A terrible LB, which is where Inzaghi insisted on using him. He was much better at CB, where he wasn't great, but was solid.
Bonera - The usual Bonera of recent years, mostly a liability, but a player used with regularity at times for some unknown reason.
Zaccardo - His best performance was the recent one where he made an assist and got sent off?
Armero - A poor signing, as he was expected to at least offer options for LB, yet when used was terrible.
Bonaventura - A decent season, he didn't always play particularly well, but generally was one of the best performers in the team. He's certainly shown his ideal position is as trequartista, and ideally will be considered primarily for the role next year.
De Jong - A good player, but not great by any stretch, he was at times dominant in front of the back four, but at others was proving to be a liability. For two years now, he's been acting somewhat as a regista, despite not having the skills to perform the role. Still one of the better performers.
Montolivo - When he returned from injury, he looked like he could help turn the season around for a couple of games, but then regressed and played the worst football since he joined before getting injured again.
Poli - Honestly defines mediocrity with his performances. He's not terrible, in fact he can be a useful squad player, but for most of the season he was a starter.
Van Ginkel - The player who I think won my heart the most. Not to say he's a favourite of mine, but frankly I was furious when this kid was brought in on a dry loan. I also didn't see anything great about him. However, in the second half of the season (after injuries in the first), he's shown a great deal of professionalism and at times shown he's capable of playing at a very high level. Despite the fact that I still don't think he has a future at Milan, he's completely earnt my respect and I wish him the best in the Premiership, where his qualities will surely be best utilised.
Muntari - Arguably the saddest moment of the season was when he was made captain against Juve, need I say more.
Essien - I think this moment best encapsulates his and Muntari's season...

Saponara - Was injured and never used. Wasted talent who's gone on to do great at Empoli.
Suso - Barely used, but showed quality when he was.
Cerci - A disaster of a signing.
Honda - Had good moments and bad, he's not had consistency this year, but I think he's got qualities to help rebuild.
Menez - Considered by the masses as the star player, I'm both positive and negative about his season. His individual ability and his goalscoring has been impressive, but the very same qualities took away from a team ethic.
El Shaarawy - Very mixed and lots of injuries. He's shown his ability at times, whether the opening match vs Lazio, the friendly in Dubai against Real and most recently against Sassuolo. El Shaarawy has the talent, he needs someone who can help him make the next step in his career to become an invaluable first team player.
Mastour - NA, I hope he gets more chances next season.
Destro - Pretty poor since January, not totally unexpected given his qualities and the team he was joining.
Pazzini - Pretty similar to Destro, only he also looks well past his best. I think all but one of his goals this season were penalties?
Niang - Terrible time at Milan, only to show significant improvement at Genoa, much like Saponara.
Torres - A terrible transfer.
On Inzaghi, there was hope at the start of the season for his ability to bring through youngsters, bring discipline to the squad and look to build using his ideas. None of this has happened, as he's shown no faith to youngsters, discipline is at an all time low at the club and there are no ideas to discern when watching matches. Inzaghi's time in charge this season has been nothing short of a disaster, despite having been shown full faith and patience by management, the players and the fans, he's been one disappointment after another, becoming a laughing stock within and outside of the club. The saddest part is that there were glimpses of hope that he might be doing something to build for the future, whether looking at the free flowing attacking football at the start of the year or the unity around December, but ultimately Inzaghi never created any identity or consistency to build on anything positive. A complete failure.
Finally, on management. Frankly they did worse than Inzaghi, which says it all really.
