Bayern has a lot of money and ambition. I don't see any possibility that they let Schweinsteiger go away. Otherwise, I would love to have him too.

And... Schweinsteiger is my #1 choice

For some reason, I had always been a fan of Menez. I think he is a very very talented player who just needs the right opportunity to shine. That said, he is not the CAM we are looking for. Come to think of it, he is not even really a CAM at all. He is much better served as a winger as he can utilize his dribbling skills, speed and physican gifts more effectively. The rumor linking us to him or even Witsel are probably just smoke screens for the real signing. I seem to recall us being linked with a few second rate strikers before getting Ibra and Robinho last summer too.
I am probably alone on this point, but Menez look like someone who can play as our LCM or RCM. He is physically strong, a very good runner who can start attack and score the occassional goal. He might not be all there defensively but he has all the tools to become a decent defender like Pirlo did when he was younger. Just food for thought, Menez could be the CM we are signing.

Call me crazy or ungrateful, but I am a bit (just a little bit) tired that there always seems to be some transfer story/drama surrounding Gattuso every year. Maybe I am asking too much from him, but Ambrosini has never put himself under any type of limelight.

Gattuso has given up many opportunities to go abroad, just because he is a true Milanista. This is admirable in my eyes. There aren't many players these days who refuse lucrative salaries just to play in a club they love.
