No team can stop Barcelona now. We could buy any two players in the world and it wouldn't make us as good as Barcelona, unless one of them was Messi of course. It will take time to get to that level again, like we were back in the early 90's.
I have a feeling that Messi would not be as good if he left Barcelona. Moratti should buy him and ruin two teams at one time for us. 
Congratulations to Barcelona. They look like a team from Mars. They have won 3 of last 6 Champions League Trophy's. They are in a Dynasty right now. If they keep their players they will continue to be the Best team in the world.
I hope Galliani and Berlusconi don't actually think we can repeat Scudetto next year with Seedorf as the CAM. Impossible. And to compete with Barca, Real Madrid, Man Utd, Chelsea, Arsenal, Tottenham, Bayern, etc. we need to buy 2 midfielders.

I think a player we should look into is balotelli.. he's throwing his career aaway because of his stupid attitude he has unlimited potential imo can become the best striker in the world why a player with this talent has to be so arrogant and stupid is beyond me but i still think we should look into him regardless

You're right. The key is moving into space when attack and controlling the space when defend.
We need players with good sense of space and quick enough to move there. We had Sheva, Pippo, Kaka, Seedorf and the great Pirlo to orchestrate. We even had 2 destroyers: Rino and Max, 2 fast wingbacks: Cafu and Serghinho.
However, there is a long way for the current Milan.
The Barcelona team in 05 is nothing like the one today. Messi is IMO better than Dinho. Xavi and Iniesta are better players now than then. Pique is a lot better than Marquez. Villa is a better striker than Henry. Alves is much better than Belletti.
Barcelona is just a machine. Messi is out of this world in the way he dominates the game. I think Barcelona is a great team without Messi and is the best team with Messi.

You're right. The key is moving into space when attack and controlling the space when defend.

I hope this year we will truly reinforce our midfield. I do hope two very good CM coming to Milan : Fabregas, Hamsik, Ganso, Pastore. My favorites are Ganso and Fabregas. I know that with two quality CM we are not yet in the level of Ancelotti's team but at least we have chance in CL if we play smart.

Our basic opinion is already too different. I count Ronaldinho better than Messi and plus I don't rate Messi as very high as you do. So, it is understandable you rate Barca now much better than in 2006.

Carlo's team was great and it would have been fun going up against this Barcelona team.
Carlo's team would have struggled big time against this Barcelona. Except you're a masochist  , there's no way this game would have been fun. You only have to think back to the 2004/2005 group stages when we were comprehensively outclassed over 2 legs especially in the second as the team could barely get a sniff of the ball (and that Barca didn't have the insane ball 'kidnapping' skills of this squad). It would be a nightmare.

Well, Pirlo and Rino duo is already too famous.
I want to talk about the qualities we need in players in order to compete with Barca or other top teams.
Pippo and Sheva were the world best at exploiting the space between defenders. Kaka and Seedorf could move between 2 lanes easily. With them, our attack was deadly back then.
For now, Pato is not consistent and Ibra often tries to beat everyone between him and the goal.
Even with Ganso and Fabregas like you want, I think we need to cross our fingers for Pato to be injury-free.

Dinho was better than Messi! Seriously?! Oh dear, oh dear. Dinho never had the consistency of performance, the team play or the change of direction that Messi has. Simply put, Messi is the best player of his generation. You can't compare different generations so that's as high a praise as you can give him. Having said that, if it was not for Xavi and Iniesta (who are also two of best players of this generation) he wouldn't have the same success. But that goes without saying, if you play in a poorer side you're not going to have the same success.
