I believe the article. It makes sense when you consider that Seedorf held off on the renewal until he talked to Allegri. The only thing that makes sense is that Seedorf wanted to know about playing time and his role. The fact that Seedorf later signed the extention after the discussion with Allegri seems to indicate that Seedorf was told something positive related to him playing significantly.
So we took the cheap way out. Instead of signing a WC ACM, we stuck with what we had.
My only hope now is that Gattuso leaves, and I can't believe I'm saying that because he's my favorite player of all time. At this point, he's slotted in at RCM with Flamini. If Gatuso leaves, it may allow mgmt to replace him with a ACM instead of a RCM, by slliding Boateng or Seedorf to the right. We could then have:

So you're telling me Seedorf only played bad when Pirlo played??? Besides (3-4) Games, Seedorf SUCKED. He was booed off the field, he lost the ball continuously, did not run, errant passes, seemed uninterested, etc. What's that got to do with Pirlo? He should not play anymore, PERIOD, end of story, case closed. The guy is past it...

That's an exageration too. He played many good games. His bad ones were when he was with pirlo in 3man (obvious why it won't work) or when he was cam because he's lossed dynamicism to play it. He's still got class and can contribute. Most underrated player of his generation. U may think he sucks but del bosque carlo , allegri and L3-0 all used him extensively. Surely not every coach is dumb?
Btw if gattuso does leave id love to swoop nainggolan. Reminds me of gattuso with more technique. Much better positionally than flamini and I lokve players who show up v big teams (which he did v us and inter). Its a sign of being big club ready
That said. Maybe its better to get asamoah. We don't exactly "need" another dm. Just don't wanna miss on nianggolan and him to go to inter for ex.

Berlu and galliani declared we want ucl. Berlu wants a champion midfielder. I will not be surprised if we get hamsik + fabregas (or ganso). Berlu wants fabregas or gnanso. Fab may be attainable. They bot know wat we ned its just a waiting game to lower prices

Just because he was great in the past does not mean he will be great in the future.
I'll say it one more time and I think we can all agree: Seedorf still has skill and I have no issue with him staying here if he agreed to be a squad player. But it certainly sounds by Seedorf's own quotes that he is not interested in being a bench warmer with an occasional appearance. Instead, he wants big minutes in big games. And if Milan was able to renew his contract, that means they intend to grant his wish. As great as Seedorf was in the past, and as good of a player as he still is - WE CAN'T WIN WITH HIM AS A REGULAR STARTER. I almost wish Seedorf didn't have as good of an April as he had - people (and mgmt for that matter) seem to forget just how inconsistent he was prior to that.

I don't think Real want him. Haft season is enough for Mou to think of a way to beat Barca. The Blaugana now find it hard to win against Club Blanco while Real have more depth to compete in a long season. Ibra is not a solution.
That leaves City and Mancini. The best case is they exchange Tevez with him, or Adebayor/Dzeko/Balotelli + cash is just fine.

So there you have it. We are only determined to win Serie A again and the Italian Cup. Winning CL is not an expectation. Instead, we just want to get far in the competition. Oh well. I guess that's consistent with how milan has handled themselves so far this offseason between extending all of our old players and apparently only intending one purchase this summer (not including Taiwo and Mexes).

Berlusconi/Galliani do want to be a legitimate UCL challenger though. Obviously they know you can't win it every year, but they want Milan in the mix of the 3 to 5 favorites (like we were under Carlo)
On top of it, players like Nesta and Seedorf want one more go around at UCL before they retire.
To do this we need reinforcements. Because of the midfield and Ibra's continual flop I don't think it's unrealistic to thing he'll be sold to pick up a player like Hulk AND invest heavily in our midfield. As long as we have ibra it's hard to play w/ a creative midfield. He demands too much ball, and wants people to run off him. And in the UCL that's always failed him bcause competition is too hard to be 1 player centric
I might be stretching this too much, but Berlusconi's comments on 'maybe zlatan was a waste of money' and milan's ability to win league with zlatan only playing 2 of final 9 games and milan not missing a beat... it makes you wonder.
