In my opinion, Boateng didn't deserve to be in team of year. That was a joke, there were probably 20 better midfielders in serie A, 2 in milan alone (gattuso/vanbommel). I don't care if he won it... he is VERY replaceable. I can find a lot of athletes who can run into the ball when robinho/zlatan/etc. cross it from seedorf/pirlo ball.
Seriously... find me one quality football play boateng made? His technique is average, his decision making is below average, he's not a DM. He's got a lot of raw potential but basically he's just an athlete.
He's getting seriously overhyped. Good squad player, hardly amazing YET.
BTW he can play RCM if we don't get Asamoah. I'm just a big fan of him. He does almost everything boateng does, but with a much higher footballing brain and more technique. He can organize play pass and tackle, along w/ run. There's a reason Allegri likes him and Ghana coach puts Asamoah on team sheet over Boateng (who got his shot w/ muntari got suspended)

I also stated my problem. The problem was not seedorf or pirlo. But fact both have declined physically and cannot play in a midfield together, it isn't balanced. When either were used WITHOUT the other, it was fine. When they were used together they both struggled. Go look it up.... we start w/ 3man of pirlo/seedorf. Both have poor-ish form. Pirlo goes down, Seedorf picks up. Pirlo comes back, seedorf is out of lineup, pirlo plays well. When they played together again it was bad, but when not, it was generally good.]
I like Boateng, and with the current squad we have, he MUST start, because he brings running and energy we lack, but again he has a long way to go before i think he's milan first 11 quality. He's certainly got ability to get there though..
