Some caption from a different source: Quote:The dark arts of simulation are always mutating and transforming into new variations of desperation, but Santos Leandro Damiao has taken this into an unexpected realm of idiocy. During his side's 3-0 loss to Criciuma, Damiao — not long ago considered to be the next big thing out of Brazil — pulled the back of his own shirt in a ridiculous bid to dupe the referee into helping Santos launch a comeback. Thankfully, the official didn't fall for Damiao's blatant attempt to deceive. Presumably because he the very basic mental capacity to see that the arm pulling Damiao's shirt was attached to Damiao's own body. For three years it has seemed unlikely that anything would be worse than Chile's Bryan Carrasco during a U-20 World Cup qualifier, but this comes mighty close. I believe that the Carrasco video has been posted before, but just for the fun of it, I am reposting it here.

Great to see such a video reza. Xu did Damiao try to con the ref? Not to say I can explain his action, but it also doesn't seem he was trying to fake a foul based on his body movement.
Carrasco's thing is just legendary though

According to the caption, the referee wasn't fooled.
That was some crazy sh!t though. I challenge anyone to actually offer an explanation why he would pull his own shirt like that.

PSG’s Edinson Cavani booked for sniper celebration, then sent off for touching the referee.

6 games!? I can understand if the ruling decides that he tried to simulate, but in a match situation that's a yellow. In suspension a one match ban would be sufficient. Where did they get 6 games from?
As for the Cavani thing, I must say I'm not a fan of the whole rifle shooting celebration (it can be misinterpreted the same way even if for the most part harmless), but that red card is absurd. It should surely get turned over on appeal
Football officiating has witnessed some of most ridiculous moments this past few weeks. A goalkeeper was recently ejected because he touched an opponent's buttock.
I honestly don't know which one is more insane, the celebration (I thought it was common, and have seen many - Gabriel Batistuta comes to mind - done it) sent-off or the ass-touching sent-off?

Some says that 12 red cards were issued.
