Man Utd linked to...Hummels Morata SES Draxler Ronaldo Cavani Vidal this morning.What does that have to with our Mercato...nothing , I just find it funny how they get linked to every player with quality.They do have the cash to spend big but thats near €300m after spending €200m (ofcourse I dont believe any of it) and Roma Inter are being infestigated for FFP.
Just brings home how far off the pace we are , I dont even see €10m being spent on a player in our future.

Galliani has trained us well through his years' hard work. Not only do we not expect great players, we don't even dare to dream about them any more.

Not even the journalists would now try to link us to any quality players, because they know people will stop reading after seeing the title.

It is.And just like me and others predicted this past summers lean lacklustre mercato in May and last Jan in Dec , I will predict nothing significent or good will happen in Jan 2015 and I'm saying this in Sept oh and no money will be spent.



On a better note (MEBE) Konopyanka's was in Milan for a meeting , not sure with Inter or Milan but it was with a club.His contract expires in June

About DeJong & Abate the assist machine if we can get a few good results convince them to resign before Jan then at leat some decent money when/if we sell them.
Thats what its come to talking of selling players while we can ,disgusing players age in terms of resale value for potential signings...so sads

Abate's been linked to Juve for a long time. Given how they've rose to prominence and knowing he and Allegri never appeared to have issues at Milan, I wouldn't be surprised to lose him next summer. De Jong I can see renewing though, as he's considered to be at the heart of the current "project" (I use the term loosely) and I think he values that.

I'd take Lichsteiner, Milner, Khedira, Chiellini, Ranocchia and Schar.. Highly doubt Chiellini or Khedira would go for free though.

I don't have an issue with bringing in free players, IDC if our entire team was free - it's the quality of the players that I care about. Signing Menez,Alex and Diego Lopez for free was all great moves. Signing players like Essien,Traore and co is stupid though.

Khedira most likely will get a huge contract from a Germany team (Bayern?), and we can't compete at all. I doubt that Inter will let go their new captain for free. The same goes to Chiellini. I really don't like Lichtsteiner but if he came it would be an improvement. That said, don't see that happening.

Like you, I don't have problem with free players per se. It is just that I don't see us getting lucky again and again. For every Menez, Galliani will bring in two Essiens.

At the end of the day, the safest strategy we should resort to is relying on our own youth. That was why Cristante sale pissed me particularly.

I wonder when we will finally offload Muntari and Bonera.. They are such bad players but for some reason every coach we've had over the past few seasons has played them regularly...
