Summer Mercato 2011
The more I think about it, Milan will not change formation for next season but rather just include an ACM. The 4-3-1-2 has worked well for Allegri and he seems to like this formation. We do not have the wide players necessary for the other formations, and we have too many good strikers to sit them. Pato will not play on the right and neither will Ibra.

Therefore, it is a very real discussion when thinking about Fabregas, Pastore, Hamsik, Ganso, Lamela, Honda. Now, remember that Berlusconi said he'd gift us with a "Champion" and when he says this, he almost always (if not always) means what he says. The only Champions on this list are Fabregas & Ganso.

My opinion is that we will try our best to bring in Fabregas. I think we will be able to come to terms with Arsenal, but I'm not sure if this is what Fabregas wants. We all know he wants Barcelona, which could prove a problem. If he truly wants to join us, I believe he will play in a midfield diamond with Boateng, Gattuso, & Van Bommel. We may see a more creative midfielder enter that diamond or we may not. Remember Allegri played a large chunk of the season with (3) destroyers in midfield.
IMO, what Fabregas wants is winning trophies and winning as the main actor. Another important point is the rivalry with his old clubs.

So Milan is the best choice as Inter have already had Sneijder.

I don't believe for a minute that Cesc would come to Milan. He's definitely going to Spain if he goes anywhere at all. I obviously don't have any inside information, but if you were to ask me to put money on him coming to Milan or not coming to Milan, I definitely would choose the latter.

We defintely should target players that fit into the diamond. The CDM is set with MvB, we may need to get a backup. One CM is Boateng's. That leaves the others. That's why if i had to pick, I would want Hernanes and Ganso. Hernanes can fill multiple roles in midfield. Ganso I want just because of his potential. both players would be perfect fits.

Regarding Berlu saying we are to bring in a champion - I always take that to mean that he will bring in world class "champion"-ship caliber players - not the literal interpretation that the player was on a trophy winning team. For that matter Hernanes is a champion too.
Me too, I think he'll only go to Barca imo. I say that bcuz he loves Barca and wants to go to them, he also likes Arsenal, I doubt he will leave though because Arsenals already looking to sell Nasri would they sell their two star players in the same mercato?

Wow thats great news. I ve been eager to read about Nesta s renewal as well. Guess Galliani and Allegris ideas are clear. Seedorf had his meeting yesterday and nothing came off it. I mean Milan knows who they really want to keep and likewise the players who really want to stay are staying put at any cost.
Van Bommel, Nesta, Thiago Silva and Flavio Roma renewed.
Seedorf didn't and had a meeting with Botafogo officials.
Inzaghi is currently in Milan.

Will he renew or retire (or leave) ?
It seems Milan is willing to give him a one year extension, but if he doesn't renew, Atalanta and Parma are interested by him ...

Pirlo, Ambro and Gattuso are probably the next to come ...
One should not speak ill of the dead.
So stop laughing at Juventus !
Gattuso's contract runs out next year.

I hope Pippo stays with us until he retires. Big Grin

For a while, I thought I will never witness the day Slowdorf will leave Milan. Now that the day is coming, it is like waiting for Milan leading in the CL final with only 45 mins to go. Will this turn out to be Pool part I or part II will be determine by the coach. Come n Max, don't do what Carlo did in Pool part I.
