Game of Thrones

I felt that it was a pity that there isn't a thread for what is possibly the best series on TV atm IMO. I read the 5 books that have been released and patiently await the last two. In the meantime, the TV series keeps me entertained even though I know for the most part what is going to happen.

VERY IMPORTANT: For people who have read the books, please don't spoil for the others. Also, for anyone coming to this thread, be prepared for people to have posted stuff about the latest episode which airs on Sunday nights.

Let the discussion begin! (Please don't tell me that I am the only GoT fan on the forum..)

It is hard to find a novel/TV series that contains such many distinct characters. And the fantasy element was not abused like other pieces of same type.

Sometimes I wish there was a little more magic..but it's definitely great enough as is.

So only Aficio and I watch GoT here? That's quite surprising..almost everyone I know (especially on my FB list) watches GoT lol

If you don't watch it currently, I suggest you give season 1 a try and tell me what you think. You would most likely be hooked after a few episodes but even if it takes you a whole season, you'll prolly be hooked by the end of it. It's only on season 4 so there is time to catch up

I don't watch it. I don't have any spare time, which is amazing, considering that technically I am not even working as of now. Icon_lol2

The only little free time I have, I spend following a pathetic team. Icon_lol2

You're missing out man..it's just one hour of the day. The Serie A season is almost over..so use the 2 hours that you would have spent watching Milan to watch GoT instead Big Grin

I read the books years ago. I watch the show too every time. I like the books more than the show but the show is fun nonetheless. Something's though make me cringe or go 'Oh c'mon' but I mean it is good to see a fantasy novel being made into a show.

I just wish they would show more of Tyrion and focus less on Jon Snow's man bun. A lot of the characters from the book are completely different in the show and that at times irks me. But now I have come to accept that the book and the show are two completely different worlds.

I think the next episode will have some big reveals and I am pretty certain that by the end of this season they will reveal R+L=J theory.
