Just wanted to say, after cagliari game I am 100% in love with nainggolan.

I liked him before, i knew he was a quality DM (he is one of best tacklers in serie a, just behind gattuso and parolo in challenges won, not carded a lot). His aggression and tactical sense remind me of Gattuso and Makelele, but he offers a bit more on ball. That's what surprised me most. I didn't realize he was so technically sound. I mean he has a high completion percentage for passes (82%) and has second most completed on cagliari, but that doesn't usually tell the story.

And a sidenote: players who perform and show no fear v. milan are really for a big club. He did not look out of place at all, and really was only one driving cagliari forward to not be embarrassed.

A side note, a midfield w/ hamsik, nainggolan and boateng... a far cry from the 'dolce gabanna' milan imagine. Tattoo'd badass midfield

im saying that we should go for Nainggolan since weeks, at least for a more competitive midfield. Signing Hamsik or Hernanes would be important step for CL. We linked with Hamsik too much in the last days. i hope that we can sign him. Allegri is big admirer of him.

Him, Sissoko and Nainggolan would be maximum for me.

If Silvio and Galliani decide to make the right moves in this summer mercato then I don't really mind the 3 points lost. Anyway I don't think we'll get points deducted, unless Moratti is really out there to compensate for his teams shortcomings.

Off work 2moro..Boca River just kicked off (delayed coverage so not live )hopefully i'll see a bit of Lamela..he has started so a high pressure match i'll see how he does.Anyone else watching this ?

I watched some of it. Lamela didn't impress me in this match, but that doesn't mean he's not good though. Boca was better than River and won 2-0 so it wasn't easy for him.

Thats my point several pages ago, my friend. Unfortunately it turn out into a Brazil x Argentine thing. I´m still trying to catch a full River game with significance where Lamela really shine. I´m not up to 10+ games yet(like with Outamendi in the past) and thats the only thing keeping me out of to make a bold prediction on the kid... But I´m trying to watch the most Rivers games that I can, to be able to do it in the near future.

You can see for the way he touch and control the ball that he has talent, but if just talent was the key, I would have been pro to Tiago Neves(a Brazilian) purchase 2 seasons ago after he tear up Brasileirao and be chosen the Golden Ball. Some fellow MM poster thought I was too hard on T. Neves evaluation, but the time is showing only talent can´t make you a Milan player worth of a non-EU spot(To be fair, I know Lamela has a Eu passport).

People thought I was hard on Keyrisson(Brazilian) too, even more after Guardiola buy him to Barcelona. The guy now(after fail in Portugal and Italy) is on the bench at Santos. This brings me back to the time I was here preaching against Outamendi purchase. "You being biased because hes and Argie"

To see people say that Lamela has more potential than Ganso is incredible. And I´m confortable with this because I was the one against Ganso purchase when the hype started after the last under-20 W. Cup.

To put in perspective, Arildonardo. Last season Lucas was throwed to the fire at 18 yo when São Paulo was almost entering in the relegation zone. As a result, Lucas amazing impact performances brought the team back and almost won a place at Libertadores. Look at Hernanes impact at Lazio... same team of 2009/10 and a different position at the table.

Now Hernanes is great, but I still remember the quotes of last year at the old forum saying that if he was still 25yo and playing in Brazil, he wasn´t that good. Or that Hernanes was too slow for Serie A and Europe. Hummmmm...

Btw, Boateng as our AMD is the most worrying quote of Galiani that I saw these days. I hope this statment it´s just another of his countless smoke screens...

The only way I am gonna accept Marek Hamsik in AC Milan's ACM is if he is ready to cut his pathetic looking hair and gets a decent and normal hair style. Otherwise stay at Napoli!

Hamsik would be ideal, I haven't seen much of him, but the little I have has impressed me. Of the ACM choices listed so far, he is ahead of the rest.

Yes, though there are bright examples of the opposite like Rui Costa. Tactically he was genius. The point you make is valid though, always important in football's philosophy.

Lucas is leading São Paulo in Brazil, was amazing at under-20 championship and had a very good debut at Brazil Senior NT at England, but need some polishment. I still think he has more (raw) talent than Ganso, but will need to adapt to some nuances of European game. I´m curious to see how he perform at Copa America this year...

My opinion on Lamela is still on the air. Need to see more, but not impressed like others...yet.

Giuliano was a great option in the near past, more cheap, but who knows how he´s playing at Russia. AMD is hard position to fill, hope we get someone to help from day one... We will need!

Thanks for your input as always, Brasileiro. I am keeping my fingers crossed for Ganso's arrival this summer. I just hope that it won't turn into another long and fruitless summer. And, if possible, I would want to have him join us in the early part of the summer, not something like August 31. It is important to have players ready and train well for the season. Last-minute transfers, as exciting as they are, often create more problems for the coach and the team, which often means less desirable results for the early part of the season.

Also, I just checked wikipedia, according to which, Giuliano now plays for the team named FC Dnipro Dnipropetrovsk in Ukraine (not Russia ). Ukraine is closer to Italy than Russia, so maybe we still have a chance landing him?
