I usually don't participate in this game because during the season, there are occasions where I have to miss our games, sometimes for weeks. But World Cup is a one month-long competition so I guess why not? Count me in!

Odd situation, but a shame for the player. I honestly had doubts about Jorginho succeeding at Napoli, but after a questionable start it looks like he's really making headway there and now he's close to the national squad. A shame we missed out on him.

It's a bit like Nainggolan, who's been excellent at Roma since joining them in January. Sucks really.

Never really followed Jorginho's progress but if there's one position on the field where Italy is fully covered then it's in midfield. There's Pirlo, DDR, Veratti, Motta, Monto, Marchisio, Aquilani and probably others that I'm missing. If he were a striker though, I can only imagine all the efforts that would be made to get him in the squad. Speaking of Verratti, I hope he gets plenty involvement at this WC. The kid is pure class and does not look out of his depth at PSG at all. I honestly thought he was going to waste his talent going there so early..

I'm a fan of Jorginho, although as you said Italy is actually very good in midfield. At the same time, I think it says a lot about Jorginho that he's in consideration to be in the squad despite a lot of options. I think Verratti, assuming he goes, will be on the bench most of the time. I think the starters in midfield will be Pirlo, DDR and Montolivo.
