I think Poli was valued at 15-20 mln last season (and I remember that prior to Berlu's spending spree we couldn't afford him!). Now that Samp, sadly, are in Serie B we should be able to get a discount. Other than him there isn't really anyone else worthwhile at Samp, maybe Palombo and Tissone.

Just because they are relegated, we still have to outbid any other club that wants him. If a team like juve offers 20-25 million, then the discount idea is out the window. Very sad to see samp go down. Another example of an italian champions league representative being relegated. Chievo is another recent example. This is why Italy are losing a spot in the UCL. Used to be 4 team - now 3. Teams are too quick to sell players.

I read someone mention Jao Moutinho. Complete midfielder too. It would be nice to see us move in for him.
Palombo, Poli, Ziegler (maybe, as Taiwo's substitute).

I really see nothing special in Poli, maybe I have not see enough of him, but for 15 mil or so, Honda is a much better option. Personally, the only player I would add from Samp is Tissone as a depth player.
I haven't seen enough of him either, but then again, even if I did, I know that I don't trust my own opinion.
 I am very envious of people with that talent (Brasileiro.  ). This season I think Poli didn't even start many games for Sampdoria. The only reason that I want him is because Allegri seems to like him. I remember that one time he said that the best young players in Italy were Paloschi, Poli, and Ranocchia.

We still have to outbid other teams who might be interested for Poli, but since Samp are relegated clubs who want to buy him will start their bidding much lower. So Juve will not go all out with a 25 mln offer for him if they are interested. They will probably start at like 10-12.
Honestly Ranocchia is not all that special. Sure he is the most promising young defender in Italy but I really don't see him becoming the next Nesta or something. Sadly this shows in what a bad situation the Italian NT is in.

Well, I am not dissing his eye for talents, but Ranocchia is not that good since Bonnucci left him, Paloshi seems to be solid and there is Poli who could not even crack the starting lineup of a relegation side. If judging by these three, Max is as good as RB in judging talents.
That's a joke. Personally, beside Mario, Santacroce, De Rossi and Rossi. I really don't think any other IT players can improve the current Milan. |
