Looks like Seedorf has grown impatient with Galliani's constant delaying over contract renewal talks and has said he wants clarity. I think it's fair now, the league has been won and we have nothing left to play for, so I only presume talks will be held very soon.
We're getting linked with Lamela again after the Ganso deal looks to be on the rocks. In addition to this Pastore's been linked, though most places say we can't afford him as Zamparini won't let him go for less than 40m. Finally, milannews again links us to Hamsik, who is viewed for our midfield and a player Allegri's a big fan of.

Honestly, I don't get some of you as on one hand, you guys want MIlan to sign young great players while also wanting the Coach to give more time to the youngsters to develop with in. While on the other hand, you want Milan to cash in on their own young superstar/WC players the moment they struggle. Even Messi can't score every game, like the last Barcelona game, Messi did not score and his only chance came from a free kick that he did not won, does that mean Barcelona should cash in on Messi this summer due to his last game? As great as Pippo, Sheva and Kaka were when they were at their peak playing in Milan, they could not score every single game and I am pretty sure they wasted as many so call golden chances as they scored goals. This is real life football, where even the best footballer on the planet, aka Messi, can't score every single game.

Six months before being Bosman a player can hold discussion with any club so if I were I him I wouldn't sweat it. Instead I'll try to get the best offer I can and if Milan do want to renew my contract, I'll ask them to at least match it.

What if the club decide it's time to part way since in Seedorf's case he's already 35? Supposed that there's no other offer then I'd retire elegantly with another scudetto shield, but like Seedorf himself said, he has offers from other clubs too.

Well, didn't Billy just left when he retired and was registering classes at NYU. Then Milan called him for one more year and he said, sure.
Slowdorf should just take notes. If the club still has not held talks with you about an extension by now, it means they are not viewing you as their first, second or even third option.

Obviously not for 20 mil, but liverpool are said to want 14 mil if jube don't pick up his 15 mil option.... if it can be knocked down to 10-12, that's ideal. Keep in mind of those listed the only one proven is Hernanes. Aquilani is proven in serie A for years. I believe Honda would find himself fine in serie A. Sandro is a DM so it's irrelevant.
As far as I'm concerned we need ATLEAST 1 creative CM (and keep 1 of pirlo/seedorf as their deputy), we need a box to box mid to compete with boateng. And then a pure CAM

On the management side I guess they'll start with the ones easy to crack rather than the most important, there'd some order like Ambro, Pippo, Seedorf, Nesta and Pirlo. Nesta knows he'll be offered anything he likes, Pirlo will likely to sign with other team before his turn.
MvB just arrived and did well, Yepes too if his expires, Gattuso might wanna leave albeit his prefered coach stays, Flamini won't leave with half salary paid by Milan.
I think a turning point for Pato's career, injuries aside, was Leonardo. As much as I love Leo as a person, though I have questioned the Inter move, and his talent scouting I must say he hasn't impressed me much as a coach. Tactically speaking he didn't develop Pato, who we saw growing stronger and stronger with Ancelotti. We also have to consider that he was played completely out of position under Leo (I'm not really blaming Leo for this since we really didn't have much of a choice then). With Allegri we have seen him grow, but nonetheless he was stopped by injury throughout the season and supposedly there was some locker room disharmonies with Ibra. Things will get brighter for him with time.
Think how much better his game would be with a two creative players in the midfield, one of which a proper trequartista, and dynamic box-to-box midfielders? It would improve immensely. Any player can do well with that kind of midfield, but a player of Pato's potential would completely destroy our adversaries.
Enough about Pato; let's discuss some mercato… A problem I see it is that we will probably only get 2 "starters" this mercato, while we would probably need 3 to fully rejuvenate and immortalize our midfield. This might be a good thing though, since replacing ¾ of a midfield is a recipe for disaster no matter how great the players are (just look at Real).
So we get a proper trequartista, that should be a priority. The options there are Ganso, Lamela, Pastore, Hernanes maybe Honda. Then a creative midfielder, who however has some defensive ability. In the future I could see Merkel play that role. Right now we have Seedorf/Pirlo, but one or both might leave. I'm not sure who we could place there.
We need two mediani for our game to work. As things stand right now we have Bommel/Ambro and Flamini/Gattuso. These guys are great when they have an on game, but we cannot really rely on them for the future (except the frenchman). Some of them will probably leave this summer. An interesting replacement would
So as you can see the only player I would leave in our "ideal" midfield is Boateng. I'd probably place him in one of the midfield trio of course (if we get a proper CAM). Other than that our vacancies are:

He also needs to buy a replacement for Seedorf. Seedorf in my opinion (at his best) is a *2-way midfielder*... He can defend and can create. I'm not sure if Hernanes has the qualities, or Inler, or Aquilani. Maybe Aquilani is worth a gamble at 10-12 millions. I don't know. We also still do not know who of the Senatori will stay, so it's hard for us to speculate what we'll need. I assume Ambro/Gattuso will stay & Pirlo/Seedorf will leave, therefore we'll need another creative-like midfielder.

To me, you can't expect Aquilani as a starter as if he is out injured, it is usually for 3 months. Like I said, this season could be his turning point or just a fluke with no injuries. Put it this way, if Juve is not willing to sign him for around 12-15 mil, Milan should really stay away. Ofcourse, if Pool loan him to Milan for a year is another story.
Sandro is quote at around 15 mil, and so is Honda. Then there is Hernanes. To me, signing guys like Honda will help more, as he can play all 3 roles in midfield, can play as ACM, heck he can even play as a striker. The same can be said about Hernanes too. So signing those two along with Sandro, aka defensive beast, Milan will have more than enough options in midfield. THus, unless a freak of nature of injuries happen to all three of Boateng, Hernanes, and Honda at the same time along with Merkel, Milan will not run out of midfielders to play.
This is how the midfield will look, if Milan manage to sign Sandro, Honda and Hernanes while re-sign MVB and Ambro
Starting
Boateng-MVB-Hernanes
Honda
Subs: Ambro, Merkel, Sandro and Urby.
IF Honda is out, Hernanes can play his position with Ambro or Urby or Merkel filling his spot in the midfield trio.
If MVB is out, Ambro or Sandro can fill in that spot
If Hernanes or Boateng is out, Honda can move down to play their spot and leave the CAM spot to Robinho or Cassano. Or let Merkel, Ambro or Urby to play.
It provides tons of options.
Personally, I think Seedorf just want a yes or no from Milan. But like I said, if you are not getting a clear signal of yes, it usually means NO. Get the hint Seedorf, go play in MLS or something.
