Just like Allegri, Moyes is the kind of coach that has mediocrity written all over him. This is the manager who never won a single away game against EPL big four in his 11 years managing Everton.

Some might say he deserves more time. Nonsense. He inherited the team that won the league by 11-point margin and somehow managed to lost five home games in just 16 matches. It took Fergie 44 games to reach the same mark and that with a team that hasn't won anything in decades.

Didn't know that! Said something about Moyes.

There is rumor that SAF picked Moyes because he was the 'safest' option to not succeed. He wishes no success for his successor.

I think it's part-Moyes and part Ferguson making magic with nothing. There's no way a squad like United's should have beaten City to the title. The average-ness of the squad is coming out now that Ferguson is gone.

In Chinese, we have a tongue-in-cheek expression that I don't know how to translate literally but it is something like van Persie being the golddigger, and found out that he is the gold to dig.

but seriously, Robin van Persie came to United because of they were his only hope to win a trophy (he did), and now he is their only hope to win a trophy (if he is healthy). :d

I watched Stoke vs Liverpool last night. It was a bizarre but also thrilling game with eight goals recorded. As most leagues have reached their respective mid seasons now I can say that Suarez has been Europe most in-form striker the last few months.

It's too easy to dislike him. He whines all the time, dives every so often. But he also harasses the defenders like a madman, fighting for every ball, and at times, he's unplayable.

More than his goals and assists, he makes players around him up their games too. Last season Sterling was like Niang whose strength in his unpredictablity waned almost as soon as it surfaced. His partnership with Sturridge is the best in EPL right now. And if it weren't for Coutinho's best effort to squander all those brilliant passes, he would have doubled his assists too.

Interesting. It goes to show that despite not spending much (bar Ozil) Arsenal have been reasonably solid over recent years by making CL every year. That said, they haven't challenged for any titles either.

A few observations:

1. the chart is dominated by blue, two different shades of course.
2. Man City alone has 11 players on that chart, enough for a team. Of course they would need a goalie (maybe Nasri or Silva :d)?
3. Tottenham has only 2? Somehow I thought that they have been a huge spender. Maybe they have bought a whole bunch of players on sale at 19.99M? :d
4. The author blames Abramovich for the "big money" era. :d
