Whether it does or doesnt stunt muscle growth i dont think any pro soccer players should be smoking imo - cassano hits me as the type to drink and smoke hes still his former magician on the ball but imagine him with his former pace .. ugh anyways we forgot one thing.
Welcome taiwo and mexes! allegri officialy announced their signings, w hat makes me happiest for the most part is weve finally got a good left back! we cant say hes world class but he will do the job. for the midfield i'd love to see lazio sell hernanes.. his price tag is probably though close to 35-40mln, a deal could most likely be arranged for 25-30 though.. Didn't he want to come to milan at one point before lazio? now we need a midfielder, lazios champions league spot was stolen by udine and im sure hernanes would want to be playing in the CL by now hes proven hes worthy ..
I think the scudetto for next season unless inter/roma make some miracle investments and imean 70mill+ then it should be in the bag for us we have max depth in our defense plus we will be getting midfield reinforcements and maybe a vice ibra will be coming in.. we did it this season next season should be a must.. the treble might look likely or @ least the italian double like we might do this season.
From my knowledge i dont think we have to worry about inter for next season. right now it looks likely that sneijder will part ways and they'll replace him with sanchez/nasri something like that maybe a striker who knows but there in the same slum we were in the last few years, they have big wages on players that wont make a difference for them and are getting old etc.

LOL.. I don't mind the distraction. One thing that I like from this forum is its discussion can stray a bit but everyone seems to know when it's enough and agree to disagree before going back to the topic intended on a thread. In other forums that I know you can get reprimanded for this by the moderator or by other members acting like one.
I remember recently some of us including me got into arguments about Ibra's importance here on the mercato thread instead of on the player's thread, and as far as I know, nobody complained about that.

AC Milan confirm deals for Mexes, Taiwo

AC Milan have secured the services of Nigeria left-back Taye Taiwo and France defender Philippe Mexes for next season, Rossoneri coach Massimiliano Allegri has confirmed.
Milan's interest in Mexes has been known for some time and the centre-back, who has already played his last game for Roma after requiring surgery on a knee ligament injury in April, will move to the San Siro on a free transfer.
He will be joined in defence by Marseille left-back Taiwo, who also arrives on a Bosman, with Allegri happy to have moved early to acquire the pair's services.
"In defence, Milan are sorted,'' Allegri said in a press conference on Monday. "We have taken (Philippe) Mexes and Taiwo.''
Taiwo, 26, has enjoyed a fine season with Marseille and scored the winning goal in last month's Coupe de France final, while Mexes will bring to an end a seven-year association with Roma.

We have not been linked with Hernanes at all, and I don't know how much he'd be but I bet very expensive. Therefore, who else is a 2-way midfielder that can play in Gattuso's role????
I don't know how expensive Hernanes may be. All I can say is: 1) Lotito is an ass to deal with; 2) Hernanes would move our team up another level.

lotito owes us after we gave him the deal of the century. Brocchi for almost no fee!
In all seriousness, Hernanes has contract till 2015, and is in first year at lazio. Highly improbable.
Our only chance is if they don't get 4th and even then... it's small
Ganso with another injury that is rumored to keep him out for another 6 weeks.... I really don't know what. I was really crazy about this guy, he looks so special when he plays but, with all these injuries a price of 25m is ridiculous. We are also being linked to Kaka, who has never been the same since he left Milan - I seriously hope we don't sign him back. He was my favorite player of the last decade however he is not the one to take us forward. Hernanes might be a good option but will be expensive as Lotito is crazy, but I truly and honestly think Pastore is better. Maybe, just maybe, Pastore should be our real objective - but only if his price is at a flat 25m. I only worry about his character and I dont know if he can handle pressure - we saw him disappear for the second half of the season and play really bad. He is still young though. I also like Lucas Marcelinho a great deal but just like Lamela, neither of the two are ready for Europe now.
Our options for that trequartista positions are Kaka, Ganso, Pastore, Nasri, Seedorf and Boateng. The management have a hard decision to make, especially now that Ganso got this new injury. Also keep in mind Nasri/Pastore would not use up our Non-EU spot. Taiwo could very well be rejected the French passport so if that's the case that would automatically rule out Ganso (unless Italian FA changes rule to 2 Non-EU spots).

remember how much we gave for Oddo? 12 million if I remember correctly and we only had Oddo for 1.5 good seasons.
(For Milan), he is the worst club president in Italy after only Zamparini.
and yes, I am hoping that they won't get that 4th spot.
