I don't see the reasons there why Pirlo can't be the man who will guide us to the CL tittle. What kind of requirement of a creative midfielder regarding number of runs made? He is getting old, I agree but he is not 35 years old. He was born 1979. He can still play 1-2 years as starter for the spot of creative midfielder since his advantage is not his physical attribute (not like Seedorf who needs that attribute). Ah yeah, Pirlo's run or generally defensive ability has been underrated since he played for the first time as deep-lying playmaker. People only see that he is not a strong player physically, easy to hit by opponent's DM and some kind of those stuffs. There were already statistics to deny all judge that he has so bad defensive abilities.
I agree with Ca Rossonero, Pirlo needs other creative player(s) and let Pirlo have free role like he showed us before he got injured at the end of last year. Knowing the fact that he is not a DM or a young Seedorf, we should also buy a quality left-fullback. We have now Bommel who doesn't go forward often and can cover space left by Pirlo but still without any reliable fullback we will be weak on the left side.
From Pirlo, Ambrosini and Seedorf, I will take Pirlo as soon as possible for contract' extension but I agree that he couldn't ask 6 mil euro per year for the new contract. He has only limited years ahead of him as starter.

There is a slight problem with us signing Mexes on a free. he wants wages of 4.5 mil. Nesta made a joke with Galliani in training "you offer me 2-3 mil but sign mexes for 4.5  "
But it is kind of an issue, being as the senator players are more accomplished.

That midfield is just too uncreative. Not enough technique/class. If Pirlo and Seedorf go, we have to see a player of similar attributes come. I mean playing ucl games with ganso, gattuso, mvl, boateng and zlatan upfront looks too much like inter teams that failed under mancini.
I think Urby will be loaned out as well or maybe used in a deal to sign a player we want.
4.5 mil euros for Mexes is too much, either from his quality point of view (he is not best Serie A defender, 4.5 is wage for a star) and his wage in roma is 2.9 mil euros per year. I hope Milan won't give so much money for a player of Mexes quality even he is free.
And yes, we should at least have 2 creative midfielder and they are Seedorf and Pirlo for now.

i'd loan Strasser to get more first team experience... i'd let Ambro go cuz we already well covered at his positon. We also signed Van Bommel as his replacement... Seedorf deserved renewal much more than Ambro's... Then like i said before, two 2 way midfielder... one as rotation and one as starter...Hernanes or Hamsik for midfield trio... Players good in everything... Who can do something and keep possesion when they are even under press and can press and win the ball in rival area...
Loan Vila and move Emanuelson to LFB...Dont renew Ambro and Loan Strasser... we will have 3 spot in midfield to sign... One is Seedorf and 1 world class 2 way and Constant or Naingolan plus...

4.5 million euros to Mexes would be a swindle for us.
we should keep him at 3-3.2 max.
He is a very good player, but also a liability with his cards.

We definitely need better players in midfield than elmago's squad up there. We need a creative CM, and a versatile player like Honda/Constant/Lazzari. I would like to get rid of of both Ambro and Gattuso but that's unlikely.
Today there was a meeting between Galliani and Agnelli, maybe they were discussing some kind of agreement to let Aquilani and Pirlo swap clubs - as both clubs will not own the two players come season's end.
And even tho I was his #1 hater, but I want to renew with Seedorf for 1 more year, just as long as he reduces his wages to 1.5m, and stays on the bench, and ONLY plays at LM where he has been amazing for us. His experience will be important for the younger midfielders coming in like Ganso - he can learn a great deal from a legend like Seedorf on how to keep the ball better. It would also be nice if Seedorf can hand over the #10 to Ganso.
I agree with you 3mln is more then enough for mexes wage.. anyways news around italy well the town im from, my cousins are all milanistas and are going crazy on facebook for ganso, apparently were going to announce it after the roma game? we'll wait and see i don't want to get my hopes up just yet..
