Yeah but it's less about making money and financial flexibility/health. A new stadium would give milan a lot more money for big players etc. Without having to go into silvio's pocket.

It's nice when he does it, but it's not best business plan. Especially when Milan has fanbase and potential to generate revenue like bayern does with allianz

It's the overall malaise of Italian football and economy, not necessarily and not exclusively Berlu's finances and influence. It goes back to 1990 too, the World Cup could have resulted in more stadiums instead of renovating places like San Paolo for example, I think there was only 1 (or 2?) completely new for 1990 when most other stadiums probably date back to pre-WWII

This is what I was trying to get at. It seems that there have been whispers but not a huge effort that is required. All the obstacles Ca_Rossonero has listed are real, but there has to be a persistent effort to push for this.

In a country where attendances are already low, it will take a while to catch up to the commercial success that stadia bring in other European countries.

There were rumblings more than a few times this year and last. Galliani brings it up every couple months.

I don't why what problem fans here have with Flamini? What else you expect from him? He is a player who does the dirty job in the midfield like Bushquets. So why he should be sold? Him and Boateng are the future of ACM midfield

I think the main issue is the salary. Of course it is not his fault that we offered him that high salary, but we were hoping that he could deserve that high pay. Well, he has lived up to this expectation yet. His dedication is beyond doubt, but he still hasn't gelled into the team after three years. His skills aren't the best either which I don't see any room for further improvement considering his age. So basically, he is getting the "star" pay but he can't even consistently play in the first 11, so it is not right.

I am one of those who want him out, also because I would like for us to recoup some of the money before he become Bosman. I don't mind if he stays and gets an Antonini-like salary, or heck, double that - which is still much less than even half of what he earns now.

I heard that he refused to sign an extension with reduced salary (I read it somewhere but forgot where, can anything confirm?), and it looks like he is on his way out sooner or later, considering where our club is now directing itself, financially.

I dont want a new milan Stadium. San Siro is beautifull and historical, I hope some day we buy it and kick inter out!

Its not just the bureaucracy in Italy. Juventus got a new stadium without too many issues, why can't we? Italian teams simply aren't progressive and aggressive enough with their management style to really stay ahead of the curve. They like to maintain the status quo for as long as possible until they absolutely has no other choice but to change. The business model for Milan hasn't really changed since 1985 and it is starting to show its defeciencies, but once again, everything will continue to stay the same until god knows when.

I think when Juve is successful in maintaining its own stadium while generating more revenue than any other Serie A teams, then and only then will teams plan to have their own stadiums.
