you know what, after reading that owen is retiring, im thinking about pato after that, they seem to be in the same case
fast lightning pace with the eyes for goal, but their career is being plague by injury, i hope pato will not become like owen did, owen was one of the strikers that is very good for his generation, to bad he didnt fulfill his potential.

Owen may not have fulfilled his potential, but at least he has made some big achievement, including Ballon d'Or. I can't think of anything major that Pato has achieved. What a waste of his talent. Luckily he still has a future ahead of him to change that.

I think Pato's got more potential than Owen ever had. Owen's been a player who relied too much on his pace and was overrated imo by the media. Not to say he ever reached his potential, but I don't think he was ever truly a world class talent, something which Pato can become.

Nobody remembers that Owen won Ballon d'Or? LOL. In fact, at times, Owen may be the only one that does.

I didn't mean Owen just had pace, as technically he wasn't bad at all and as you say he had a good instinct for goals, but what I meant is his biggest pace is his pace and as he lost it over the years we saw he wasn't still capable of producing much good.

This is in contrast to Pato, whose pace isn't as beneficial as before due to injury fears, but yet we regularly see him get into positions where he just has to tap in for goals. Technically, he's also more complete.
